Pam Bondi and the dept of justice confirm that they’ve officially received Tulsi Gabbard’s DNI referral- to them- for possible criminal charges against President Obama and his top national security appointees-for intentionally manufacturing the Russia collusion hoax in the winter of 2016.
I said yesterday: this is about 8 years too late...and very likely-will not- lead to any- real- criminal charges or consequences against
Barrack Obama or the major players in the scandal ...but i hope Bondi’s team takes it seriously and charges all these men and women with at least a few federal crimes....to make their lives a living hell for several years...as they fight it.
Genuinely: for all the trouble and nastiness and falsehoods and angry history that they touched off with this hoax-and then perpetuated for nearly 3 years- they deserve to feel some personal harm.
I’d hope that-after they are charged- president trump would block their cushy federal pensions as the trials play out- to further protect the taxpayers and inflict some punishment.
But am I going to hold out any-real hope? -for serious charges and consequences here? No.
No, I’m not.
Because we’ve seen this movie way too often when it comes to the dc swamp: the serious accusations and scandals...wasting all sorts of taxpayer time and congressional energy...only to end in a big ‘nothings. With no consequences at all for the bad actors- like Hillary and Obama and Brennan and Comey...etc.
They never get the appropriate payback. But even if trump and Bondi make their lives a ‘legal hell’ for several years, as they did Trump’s, that will bring ‘some sort’ of satisfaction to me.
In the early going, here, we’ve got the most conservative legal pundits and former prosecutors saying that gabbard is overplaying her hand, here. Most of this same evidence and information has been looked over before-by congress and by the DOJ agencies- and found to ‘not be’ what Gabbard is characterizing it as.
So, we’ll see where this goes...
There’s no doubt that the Obama dept of justice was playing political favorites: Comey’s FBI was going out of its way to spy on and investigate Donald Trump and his associates- just a few weeks after he gave Hillary Clinton a complete pass on her email scandal-
In which she clearly violated at least five federal laws. In fact, just yesterday, Senator Chuck Grassley released new whistleblower evidence that shows James Comey and Obama’s team -never looked-at at least two thumb drives full of evidence related to Hillary’s secret server crimes.
Grassley says this proves Comey and Obama’s FBI intentionally did a shoddy and half-assed investigation into Hillary’s secret server because.... gee. They seemed to know Hillary had committed crimes.
If they dug any deeper, they would have found them. And so, instead, these whistleblowers say, Comey’s investigative team intentionally ‘stopped short’ and he held his ‘now famous’ early October news conference in which he told the country that yes, Hillary Clinton and her team did likely break federal laws, but she was going to be cleared, anyway.
Clinton and a bunch of democrats still blame Comey for costing her the election...but if he’d actually handled that investigation honestly, and properly, Hillary Clinton might still be sitting in a federal prison.
So, Comey gave her a massive break. And he and her acolytes still trashed him as costing her the election. And due to this day.
Comey should have had some integrity, instead, and put her in prison.
But no: now that its’ Obama and Comey and Clapper and Brennan...and Susan Rice-
All these people who have said repeatedly ‘no one’s above the law’: watch- they’ll be ‘above the law’. Even when another one of trump’s hand-picked attorney’s general is atop the department.
That’s my prediction.
We’ve all known it for years: it doesn’t take 100 pages of new documents released by Tulsi Gabbard this week- to prove any of this.
We’ve known what went on for years.
Still-it’s good to have some of the hard evidence surface.
The only way this might end ‘differently’ than what’s expected- is if dozens of deep state whistleblowers are- now- coming forward to contact Gabbard and the Trump DOJ.
This is another claim Gabbard has been making sense Saturday, and we have no idea whether it’s true.
If some dam is finally breaking inside the intelligence community....it could lead to something larger.
More likely?It’s just a few days or weeks of distraction before it goes away, again.
It’s why I-for one- refuse to get caught up in the ‘it’s payback time’ nonsense that’s already starting to grow on the right.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
But I won’t see it.
I just hope to see trump and Bondi making life a living hell for James Clapper, John Brennan, Jim Comey, Susan Rice, and barrack.
They won’t do prison time-but make their lives a living hell for several years.
I sure hope this ends in criminal charges and at least a few years’ worth of nightmares- lost pensions-and a flood of legal bills for Obama, Brennan, Rice, Clapper, Comey...etc.
That would bring me joy.
I also want to make it clear though: I support no new congressional investigations related to this. Zero.
I have no interest in seeing this be another ‘never ending’ distraction for republicans in congress that ends nowhere.
Which is ‘where’ it always ‘ends’ with these things.
Republican leaders need to focus on doing the more important work of the American people and completing the republican agenda.
They need to keep their eyes on the prize-and on the 2026 midterms. Not get sucked into years of useless and fruitless congressional hearings, again.
And any Maga member or trump supporter who calls for new congressional hearings-is a dope.
