So- the democrats lost the election last fall because their credibility had cratered with the American people.
Between trying to hide Biden’s dementia....and forcing Kammy on us....and taking the extreme and wrong side of every 80/20 issue.... the support for democrats cratered last fall.
Well-get this: their party’s support has only continued to erode...since.
I find it amusing that these strategists-themselves- who are commenting on what’s wrong with the party-
They, themselves-are still clinging to misconceptions. One of them is frustrated that democrats missed opportunities to hit back at trump over tariffs, deportations, and the big reconciliation bill.
What’s he talking about?
They have done all of that. They just didn’t do it effectively. All democrat leaders have done is whine about tariffs, deporting illegal criminals, and lied about the big reconciliation bill.
They’re ‘fighting back’. They just aren’t doing it smartly.
Another finding from this poll that i found interesting is – the party’s insiders still love the idea of ‘fighting for democracy’. They still think they have a winning message if they say they are the party that is ‘saving democracy’.
But the pollsters found that line simply doesn’t work on most voters anymore.
One reason why, they say, is because open borders and other Biden-era moves that seemed to have the democrats ‘hating’ and working against America - killed off any credibility that that line of BS ever had with most voters.
After watching and suffering thru four years of Biden, we-the people, know better than to believe that todays’ democrats want to preserve democracy...or that Donald Trump and republicans are the ones who are the ‘threat to democracy’.
Come on. That simply doesn’t fly, anymore, if it ever did.
The democrats don’t have a single, coherent, economic policy. Not even one of them that makes sense or gets the American people back on their side. They’ve got an idiotic slogan about taxing the rich even more. But that’s about it.
Meanwhile-you aren’t going to lure voters to vote for you with one issue- and then have them ignore the other issues that you are horrible on.
This strategist is saying...you win on the popular positions.... then ‘convince those voters over time’...that cutting off children’s genitals is health care....and forcing them to give up their cars is a good thing....and taking away more of their freedoms is for their own good.
Sorry. That’s going to be a hard sell.
In fact-how’s this for a gut punch to today’s democrats: the poll found that quote. Voters, first and foremost, are looking for common sense in their political party’.
Oh boy.
There’s not a stitch of common sense to be found in the democrat party, the democrat agenda, or what their elected leaders are screeching about.
And understand, people, that all of this backroom analysis and strategizing is going on- as their party’s top leaders are pushing for America-hating socialist Zohran Mamdani to be the next mayor of New York.
Good grief.
How can six months of post-mortems all point toward ‘being smarter’. Re-embrace common sense. Get on the right side of the 80/20 issues.’... And then have the activist’s next cause celeb’ to get a stone-cold America-hating communist.... elected as NY mayor?
How does that happen?
Clinton-era pollster Mark Penn was on fox Friday...and was asked what advice he’d give his own party when it came to Zohran Mamdani.
That would be the smart thing to do, yes.
Instead, they’ve become a party with ancient, feckless leaders on top-whose sole motivation is to cling to power for a few more years-
And they’ve got a grassroots/activist base that has gone rogue...and is talking as if they want to topple the country-
And are organizing to do it.
Our educational system has failed most of the recent generations in a big way. All of us have failed in that we let the America-hating left infiltrate and completely take over our educational system...from k-12- right through our doctorate programs.
But we on the right have also failed- in any way-to stop the genuine America-haters and foreign billionaires who have been working for decades to topple our country.
The one who everyone knows is George Soros, the rancid old slimebag. This weekend, the NY post reported- to no one’s surprise- that the organizations Soros funds funneled nearly 40-million dollars into the Mamdani primary race in New York city...and you know they’ll probably double that in the general election.
If socialism and communism were popular- the people supporting, it wouldn’t be hiding from that label. They’d be proudly declaring themselves socialists and communists.
Instead, most of them in today’s democrat party hide from it.... like our own Madison congressman..., Marc Pocan.
Even Mamdani- who is clearly a socialist with various-flat out- communistic proposals-
Even he hides behind the label ‘democratic socialist’.
There’s no such thing. It’s as dishonest a moniker as ‘progressive’ is. The only way socialists and communists can ever gain power is to lie to the masses of people they want to crush and lord over once they get into power.
But I’ll finish by saying what I said Friday: it is high time for the trump administration to label antifa a domestic terrorist organization-and then follow their funding to see if it leads back to George Soros.
If it does- I’d charge Soros for leading a criminal conspiracy to try to undermine and harm this country over the last 30 years. Because that is what he has done.
This guy isn’t exercising his free speech rights. He’s been a long-time enemy of the state.
