I opened the seven-o’clock hour talking about the passage of the big reconciliation bill last Thursday- capped off by president trump touting it in a big signing ceremony on the fourth of July.
This really is a huge, huge win for the American people...even if it doesn’t make the amount of spending cuts and deficit reductions that we fiscal conservatives would have loved to see.
And one way to tell this is a huge win for President Trump, the GOP, and the American people-is that the democrats and their accomplices in the media still haven’t stopped whining about it-four days later.
I ran across a few news stories this weekend saying the democrats are excited to quote...message this...to win back majorities on congress in fall-
What they really mean is: democrats think there’s all sorts of things in the bill they can twist around and lie about. Like quote...cuts...to Medicaid that aren’t cuts.
And since lying is all they’ve been doing to the American public for many years now-their leaders are excited that there’s so much to lie about what’s in this bill.
Genuinely.The entire game plan of today’s democrat party is to lie and gaslight. And on this package? They’re certain their lying is working.
They are clinging to a few bogus polls that showed this reconciliation bill was unpopular with the American people.
I can virtually guarantee you that their ‘big plan’ for 2026 isn’t going to work. After all, we’ve got a year for the country to see all of the positive byproducts of this bill...while also seeing none of the ‘misery and death’ that the left has been loudly and hysterically predicting... For months.
Folks- by next fall- the democrats’ lies simply aren’t going to be believable and/ or will have been proven false.
The boost to the economy should be seen quickly...and the hysteria over taking illegal aliens and able-bodied Americans off Medicaid to strengthen the program and make it more stable for the poor, the disabled, and the single mothers who it was designed for- will also become known.
Because that’s all these reforms to Medicaid do: Medicaid has ballooned since an Obamacare expansion across 40 of the 50 states allowed states to basically ‘cheat the system’ and get a bunch more federal funding if they put more people onto the program.
So... any voters ‘angry’ over losing their Medicaid benefits will be illegal aliens, or people who believe the leftist lies and hype...that ‘other people’ are going to be losing their benefits.
Republicans have nearly a year to lay out these ‘facts’ as well. The democrats who are banking on this to win back seats for them next fall.... are forgetting how quickly the news cycles change and how quickly the American people forget.
Trust me: Medicare changes are not going to be the issue that’s driving the voters by this time next year. And if the democrats insist it is-they’re going to have a historically bad 2026 election.
The doom and gloom of the sort that Kamala Harris put out on the fourth of July simply isn’t going to ‘sell’ next fall...because the American people are already making it clear...they are not ‘feeling it’...after six months of president trump being back in office.
I assume most listeners didn’t see this-but Kamala Harris ‘emerged’ over the weekend- but only long enough to prove she and her side of the aisle are completely misreading the mood of the country.
I have guaranteed listeners-Guaranteed you- that Kamala Harris will not be the democrat’s 2028 nominee.I have never seen another so-called ‘high profile’ candidate who is so disliked by her own side of the aisle.And i watched Hillary run twice.
Kamala is even more hated than Hillary in the dem party. And for good reason: she’s unlikeable, a fraud and incapable. Hillary was at least a capable, unlikeable fraud.
But- Kamala’s projecting ‘hard times that will get harder’ to a country whose voters haven’t been this optimistic about the country’s future- or who say it’s ‘on the right track’....as any group of Americans have in 50 years.
You must go back to the ‘Reagan renaissance’ to start seeing this percentage of Americans so positive on their country and its future.
Good and doom isn’t going to ‘sell’ next fall.
Think about how far we’ve come in just six months or so. This country-really is- during the turnaround that president trump and republicans promised on the campaign trail last fall. It’s been a joy to witness all of this ‘winning’. It really has been-for someone who has done this for as long as I have.
Meanwhile-the democrats are so lost and broken that half of them is ‘closing ranks’ around a genuine racist and communist America-hater who has won the New York mayoral primary...as the other half of the democrats under their tent scramble to stop him.
It's quite the contrast.
And folks, there’s a reason that president trump has been chiming in on Zohran Mamdani on social media: it’s a brilliant use of the hatred most democrats reflexively have for the president: if he says ‘its’ good’ then it’s got to be bad. Right. If he says ‘it’s bad’ then...we need to defend it. Correct?
And so- Trump’s criticism of Mamdani on social media is starting to suck all sorts of reflexive ‘trump haters’ to defend Mamdani. To the point that-if the loudest voices on the democrat party are being made to ‘own’ or ‘defend’ Mamdani’s antisemitism, racial hatreds, and socialist and communist ideas- well then- they’re going to have a hard time winning elections in swing states.
Donald Trump is starting to ‘own’ all the 80 percent and ‘centrist’ positions in this country.
