I said the other day on social media: 3/4 of the coverage AOC gets, is her saying something stupid and wrong...MSM’s taking it seriously...then having the rest of us debunk/unpack it over the next three days.
I swear- that’s why this dingbat is in the news so often. It’s also due to what I call the ‘Behar principal’...named after Joy Behar of the view.
It’s the principal that says: the dumber the comment, the more it will be echoed and spread around by the news media- because they’re only looking for catchy or controversial comments that will drive clicks, readership, or viewership.
If Laura Ingraham says something smart- most media outlets don’t feel the need to amplify it with their own platforms. It won’t be controversial or generate clicks and comments and revenue for them.
but if Joy Behar or AOC say something stupid- yes. amplify it. That’s where the clicks and the money are.
and so- when AOC says ‘Trump needs to be impeached over his unconstitutional strikes on Iran’.... the media outlets flock. and they’ve been trumpeting this incorrect nonsense for days, of course: it was not unconstitutional for president trump to strike against Iran.
I’ll prove it in a minute, with constitutional scholar John Yoo schooling this idiot...but.... Trump has article two powers that every president of this modern era has used in this manner. listen to house speaker mike Johnson-very effectively- bat this down.
And by the way- there’s video of Nancy Pelosi saying much the same thing- back in the Obama era. She’s on tape more than once saying- a president does not need to get congressional approval before ordering military strikes.
so- even dame Pelosi agrees with this- if a democrat in office.
Moreover- a third impeachment is especially stupid to bring up as an option, given that
a) trump has already been impeached twice for made up offenses...
b) the democrats aren’t in charge of either chamber-or couldn’t set an impeachment in motion, anyway...
c) even if they did regain control of the senate in 2026, they wouldn’t have enough votes to remove Trump in the senate.... and
d) the man is in his final term in office, anyway.
For those reasons, and more, any talk of impeachment is moronic.
Luckily, AOC is a moron. So, she- and a few others- have been relentlessly flogging this foolish talking point since Saturday.
President trump finally had the time to answer back on social media, yesterday, and .... just...trashed her.
Trump’s also right about that: many of AOC’s own constituents- on the left- complain that she’s never actually home-in district- listening to their complaints or caring what’s going on in queens and the Bronx.
She’s just a vapid media star. She wants to be famous. clearly. and that’s all she wants to be.
but she’s not the only one ‘talking stupid’ and ‘looking silly’ because president trump is winning-and they can’t control their hatred.
Jamie Raskin and Chuck Schumer-both-made assess of themselves again, yesterday, by blasting Trump’s White House for not checking with congress, first, and waiting a few days before more fully briefing congress on the details of the mission.
It's not even worth playing their whiney audio. Brit Hume got it right, yesterday, when he posted on social media: Chuck Schumer’s bloviating is pure posturing.
It would be far easier and more rational to simply admit the president ‘made a good call’ or ‘did a good thing’ or ‘defended democracy’ here...on this Iran thing...
And then move on.It leads to ‘more’ credibility, because the American people see you as someone who can be rational and reasonable -and who can spot a ‘good outcome’ for this country.
Instead, these angry dopes just keep doubling down and hopping to new talking points- when events make their last ones embarrassing and indefensible.
We’ve seen this silly hopping. From criticism to criticism...going on for four days now.
I hate to break it to them- but President Trump - and no other president- needs to heed that demand- even if congress passes it.
They genuinely don’t. presidents have article two war powers that are explicitly given to them as the commander in chief of the military. they are meant to ‘compliment’ the article one powers that are given to congress to declare war...and meant to allow presidents to move more urgently-in the moment- against our enemies if we need to.... instead of having congress pittle and puttle around .... arguing over an official war declaration for days, weeks, or months.
if anything, trump is following the long-time norm. the long, long, long time norm.
These people insisting this is unconstitutional are dopes, puds. frauds. plain and simple.
And I don’t care which side of the aisle they are on, if you believe trump violated the constitution with these air strikes-you’re just incorrect. we can all be ‘wrong’ on things.
Just admit it and move on.
But see- these leftists and their Trump-hating leaders can’t. because they got to rage against everything. everything.
and all they are doing-as they do this, my friends- is alienating more and more Americans from themselves- and their party.
The democrat reaction to Trump’s handling of Iran is yet another thing that just...so...so...’misses the moment’....and causes them to look like fools, themselves.
I’ve been pointing out these instances to you for some time now....and they include these ‘no kings’ and ‘BLM protests’....and by God...defending gender mutilation of our children....and ...by God...defending every illegal thug and murderer Biden let into America...etc.
This is just the latest one: their fifteen day ‘rage’ (and counting) against President Trump’s impressive handling of this Iran situation....is just silly and alienating.
It makes them look hypocritical, and foolish, and even more dangerous and untrustworthy-if they ever do-get back into power soon.
