The leftist response to Trump's action against Iran is predictable

Here’s an admission: I care ‘so little’ about what democrats have to say about President Trump bombing Iran- that I’m reluctant to even talk about it.

Who cares?

I know it’s the media’s job to immediately ‘rush off’ to see what trump’s critics and supporters think of this.... but it’s all so boring to me- after 30-some years of doing this:

AOC says it’s an impeachable offense. He needs to be impeached.

AOC’s a dingbat. And it’s not. So why spread that nonsense?

But, but republican Thomas Massie agrees.

Okay.

That means there are two people in DC who don’t know what they’re talking about, then.

It still doesn’t interest me.

AOC-who went to Princeton’s bartender school-said:

Please notice hakeem Jefferies isn’t talking about impeachment or saying a president doesn’t have this authority. Clearly, someone has already explained to him that trump does.

And so, instead, he insists the president ‘explain himself’...which trump has been doing for weeks. So that’s stupid.

Then he says: we in congress need to be briefed.

That I agree with. And they will be. That’s normal.

And third: Trump shoulders total responsibility for what comes next.

Well, of course he does. None of you pathetic democrats ever claim responsibility for anything. Especially not Barack Obama and Joe Biden and their regimes- who screwed up this ‘Iran question’ to the point that trump had to act militarily.

But as for the claim that ‘this is not constitutional’. They’re simply wrong. And one hint is that the constitutional scholars like Jonathan Turley say they’re wrong.

Another is that- article one, section 8 of the constitution -does- give the power to declare war to congress-

But there has been no war. Trump isn’t declaring war on Iran.  And this is the ‘condition’ or ‘loophole’ that u-s presidents have been using for about 100 years to ‘get involved militarily’ in all sorts of actions.

Because- as commander-in-chief of the armed forces, the constitution also does give some ‘war powers’ to the president.   Article two of the constitution makes the president the commander-in-chief...and in command of the military...and so...

Constitutional scholars can argue over this all they want-but every time a president on either side of the aisle uses his military powers- ‘some level of objection’ is leveled by congressmen.

It’s automatic.

And this time-it will- of course, be the isolationists on our side and the ‘America-haters’ and ‘pro-terrorism’ crowd on the left who are going to object. It’s part for the course.

Not unique to the Trump administration.

Moreover- the democrats tend to object more to ‘war actions’ because they hate military conflicts and -running on emotion- never think they are necessary.

Whereas we, on the right, tend to be the more rational thinkers and understand the real-world dynamics-and real-world threats—that need to be faced, here. And that really is it.

It’s why I’ve been calling out the isolationists on this one, too: the Tucker Carlson’s, mtgs, and Steve Bannon. They’re ‘all wet, too.

I love how president trump slapped them back, last week, for trying to define what ‘Maga is’...and that ‘Maga was isolationist’.

Trump said- given that I invented Maga. I think i get to define what Maga is.

I agree with that: I’ve always found JD Vance to be too isolationist, and if he’s the 2028 standard-bearer, it’s going to have to be something he’s challenged on.

The other thing he probably needs to do is fire Tulsi Gabbard, and anyone who’s in his circle who’s been working undermining him over the last few weeks.

In fact, I don’t see how Tulsi keeps her job as NAS director, at this point, if she’s going to contradict the boss every time, she gives an interview or testifies to congress.

On Friday-again-Trump had to blast his own intelligence community for simply getting the Iranian threat ‘wrong’- for decades.

There’s a reason that US intelligence has gotten this ‘so wrong’ ...according to others in this international nuclear weapons community.

His basic take on why the US intel community didn’t think Iran was that close to having the bomb-

Is because they ‘blew it’. Blew their assessment-on whether Saddam Hussein and Iraq had chemical weapons. Remember?

And it was that mistake that had these intel leaders- as an institution- gun shy’ and gullible ever since.

Albright claims our leaders have basically taken the evil mullah’s word on things...over the years. As they have pretended to comply. Pretended to have shut down other sites...etc. He says Iran has been focusing heavily on enrichment of the uranium ..and claimed it was for peaceful purposes- energy creation-

And the u-s intel community has eagerly accepted that deception-as David Albright puts it.

Meanwhile-Israeli intelligence has-literally-stolen and delivered Iranian enrichment and missile plans that prove they’re working on the bomb.

Albright says- he’s astounded that after 2018- when Israel exposed Iran’s secret plans to the world and to the US our intelligence agency ‘still’! - bought into the more peaceful explanation.

It, frankly, scares me to know that the u-s intelligence community can get something ‘so wrong’...and it makes me worry about the other threats they are quoting...assessing.... for the rest of us-and basing our national security decisions on.

This was the right move by President Trump: for decades the west has been working under -and around-the shadow of an evil Iranian regime and its terroristic actions.

Barrack Obama gave the Iranians pallets of cash. Joe Biden’s regime did, too, figuratively.

Only Donald Trump had the stones to deal with this threat directly and honestly. He gave the mullahs plenty of time and options- to give up their quest for a nuclear bomb. They refused repeatedly.

There is likely to be some fallout. Let’s hope this action of Trump’s and Netanyahu’s can be papered over as cleanly as possible in the wake of all of this.

But it had to be done. Iran’s evil regime-could not- could not- be allowed to go nuclear.
