Americans need to stay strong on deportations

Jay Weber Show transcript 6-13-25

Have you heard that the Home Depot parking lots across the country that were once full of illegal day laborers looking for work- have been empty this week?

‘Eerily quiet’...is how the Wall St Journal reported it.

Because this is a national chain, Home Depot parking lots have become known around the nation as a place where ‘people for hire’ as day laborers will collect...and can be picked up at a moment’s notice to round out crews...or do jobs for people.

But- if the overall trump crackdown had lessened the numbers-the claim that ice raided a Home Depot in Los Angeles last Friday has really sent the illegal laborers into hiding. The parking lots are empty this week.

And that-was- misinformation: several claims related to the ice raids that touched off the la rioting were quickly debunked...but with social media...the lies or the mistakes made by observers spread to tens of millions of Americans ..who believe them anyone.

One lie that has been batted down is related to Black LA man who made a tearful video about how he was at a school graduation event that had been raided-that then went on to get at least 8-million views.   He completely made it up. But the lie lends to the overall pool of ‘outrage’, doesn’t it?

Which is why today’s leftists so quickly resort to lying and gaslighting.

Another falsehood that quickly circulated is that ice raided a Home Depot...or targeted a Home Depot parking lot.

They didn’t.Ice agents in LA were using a space that was adjacent to Home Depot as a staging area. Witnesses might have seen them...and confused it. Or misinterpreted it.

But...irony of irony....that Home Depot wasn’t actually raided.

Still- the misinformation spread so quickly around the country that Home Depot parking lots have been devoid of illegal day laborers this week.

No word on whether they just shifted over to Loews, or Menards, or what...but...he Home Depot lots are empty...according to the Wall St Journal.

The rest of the story is an echo of my segment earlier in the week about how: somehow, the pro-illegal crowd has decided that ‘home depots’ are ‘safer. In this gang of deportation tag that ice has been playing.   Or that- there’s got to be somewhere that ice can’t enforce the law...cuz it just seems mean.

At. No.

We, the American people, never agreed to that and trump’s dept of homeland security and border czar are no longer honoring that made up rule, even if Obama and Biden did.

Everything is ‘fair game’ for ice this trump term-because the American people have given them such a clear mandate: mass deport.

Meanwhile-in Florida- it was interesting to see Governor Ron DeSantis tell Floridians that they can just run over any rioters or protestors who are trying to block their cars...or threatening to attack them physically.

He said this in an interview yesterday:

Desantis is one of the red-state governors who is-wisely- preparing for ‘the worst’ this weekend, just in case the so-called ‘no kings’ protests that the left has organized across the country.... turn violent.

The governors of Texas, Utah, and South Carolina-at the very least-have done the same.

And yes, folks, this is what leadership-actually-looks like: anticipating and planning for the worst...being smart about it. Making it clear to the law abiding- you do not have to be victims. We will have your back if you need to defend yourself.

That is leadership. Not whatever Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom are doing.

In fact- Byron York has an interesting piece today in which he details how- all those rioters who have been arrested out in California after having been caught in the act- will probably just be let go....and must pay a small fine at most.

And he’s right.

There might be a few who pam Bondi and the DOJ insist will-by God- be prosecuted federally based on attacking federal officers and/or organizing and funding the riots...

But most of the rioters were arrested by the LAPD, right?  For violating ‘state crimes or local ordinances?

Well, we know how this is going to go. The DA is going to let them all escape serious charges.

It’s infuriating, but this is how these sanctuary cities coddle lawbreakers-and even encourage more lawbreaking: they do so by giving criminals and anarchist rioters break, after break, after break.

There is-no way-you can convince me that ‘going easy’ on these antifa and BLM types doesn’t lead to even more rioting, thugging, and chaos.

‘Getting away with it’ has only encouraged ‘more of it’...over the last several years. That much is clear.

Yesterday- a house panel had three terrible blue-state governors in front of them-

Called to testify on their state’s sanctuary city policies.  It was Kathy Hocul of New York, JB Pritzker of Illinois, and Mr. Jazz hands, Tim Walz, of Minnesota.

There’s really no reason to detail the hearing- because they just played dumb and denied their policies are causing Americans to be victimized and be treated as second-class citizens....as the democrats protect illegals...

But I thought you’d like to hear one great snippet from the hearing. This is one of Minnesota’s congressmen.... just.... ripping Minnesota’s useless governor.

This is congressman Tom Emmer.... just trashing...jazz hands.

That’s some good stuff.  Emmer ended by saying: this is why the American people voted Donald Trump and JD Vance into office.  They have made it clear they don’t want you democrat lawmakers to coddle illegals while ignoring the will of American citizens.

It was a great moment.

And I sure hope the American people ‘stay angry’ and ‘stay committed’ to this...and don’t ‘go soft’.

I talked about the poll yesterday showing Trump’s approval rating is at 52 percent now and has grown over the last week since he sent in the national guard and made it clear: these ice arrests and deportations are going to continue.

Meanwhile, the democrats are already making it clear that their strategy is going to include a campaign of slamming trump for abusing his power and going too far....and being too mean.

We-cannot-

Cannot allow that to ‘work on us’ if we are ever going to get control of illegal immigration. The alarmism, the name calling, the gaslighting-cannot be allowed to ‘work’ on the American people this time.

And no, our government cannot deport the 10 to 15-million illegals that Biden’s regime allowed to flood into the country and that’s what they were banking on...

But...new and consistent enforcement of our immigration laws-can- get millions of them to self deport.

Trump’s team members are saying: if we can deport half a million to one million a year...we can also send the message to ten-million others to ‘self deport’ before we remove you.

And that’s been a big part of their messaging plan...with raids in the so-called sanctuary cities like LA starting to send that message more vividly: you could always self-deport.

At least ‘some’ recent arrivals have got to be ‘self-deporting’ by now.

And those who are close observers of this issue say that there is some evidence that it is starting to occur.

It’s why I’d suggest ‘riding out’ and ‘bullying thru’ this recent wave of protests is the key to really breaking the backs of the open border’s democrats and the pro-illegal activists on this one. If their ‘best efforts’ at a tantrum this week and next.... fail to move the American people and/or only have them supporting trump more.... then the backs of this movement have been broken...

And if- three weeks from now- Trump and Tom Homan are still engaging in high profile raids and deportations...and America’s illegals are looking at least three more years of this- maybe more-

That! Is when I think we start to see more significant evidence of a pattern of self-deportation occurring.

But we need to break the back of this ‘last gasp rage and rioting’...first. And that could take a week or two- of Americans holding firm.

Nope. Stop your tantrum. And get out.
