Hey...it turns out that...if companies can’t be bullied into participating in pride month or other ‘alphabet nonsense’.... They don’t have much interest in doing it.
That’s the clear take away from this year’s gay pride festivities. The activists admit that there’s not a lot of joy or attention being given to rainbow land this year.... because new laws and cultural blowback mean they can’t bully companies into paying for and promoting their events.
What a shock. The Washington Examiner reports:
I reject the characterization that this is a ‘backlash’ against LGBTIQQ...or the movement. I’d suggest that it is- far more- a matter of people finally not having it shoved in their face and not being forced to participate...in some way...at work or school or social clubs.
This is simply people- no longer being forced to participate. So, they aren’t.
I wouldn’t call it a backlash. It had to be expected after the years of shame and bullying that these activists in the alphabet crowd insisted on forcing us.
Most of us have always said: do what you want to do in your bedroom.Just don’t force the rest of us to hear about it...or celebrate it...as something wonderful.
But that’s not today’s left. By-God. Everyone’s got to be okay with this. Everyone’s got to celebrate this. Everyone’s got to be brainwashed into our dogma on this.... etc.
I suppose you can characterize the American’s reaction to all this trans bullying as ‘backlash’ if you want to.
Backlash against the broader gay rights and alphabet movements-
But hey-if you ‘live by bullying’...you ‘die by bullying’.
It’s not as if most of us were participating in gay pride events or left-wing activism related to pride month, anyway.
I’d remind you that these LGBTIQQ groups are all- left wing activist groups. In fact-they are primarily leftist political groups... Organized around sexual preference. That’s all they are.
There is a significant percentage of gays, lesbians, and others who aren’t democrats or leftists....and who didn’t participate in their events, either.
So, let’s not act like a ‘once mainstream’ celebration is in trouble. Pride month and pride activities- have always been- thrust upon the rest of us- for lack of a better term.
Most of us have always said...go ahead and do your thing...just don’t force the rest of us to participate and agree.
And that! Is where these alphabet groups went wrong: we even highlighted it at the time: this LGBTIQQ movement was aggressive enough...but when they entered that ‘you got to be forced to say it. You got to be forced to agree with us’...that’s when it all went south for them.
And this happened before the Bruce Jenner thing, but that was a flash point.
Before him- this crowd was already insisting...you got to say gay is okay...or you’re a bigot and we’ll destroy you.
You got to admit you want gay rights and gay marriage.... or you’re a bigot and a hater. Etc.
Then it turned into...you got to say Bruce is a beautiful woman. Say it. Say it!
Some Hollywood types and powerful people had their reputations destroyed...or were blackballed by industries...because they won’t say ‘Kaitlin is a beautiful woman’.
And that’s when it all started to fall apart. Not when Trump got back into office.
We, the people, have never responded well to brute force. You can ‘ask us to be tolerant of whatever you are doing...or want to do.
But the moment you start insisted we ‘got to’ agree with you...or with what you are doing...
No.
We are free-thinking Americans with God-given rights. We don’t ‘got to' be subjected to anyone else’s ball cap if we don’t want to.
