Now-this-is interesting: a pro-energy group is contending that at least a half-a-dozen Biden agency orders on energy should be null and void because Joe Biden didn’t know he was signing them.
This gets back to the autopen, again, and the question of what this closest aides and cabinet members were doing ‘in his name’ without telling him.
This could be interesting, my friends.
The pro-energy group is called ‘power the Future ...and their members claim they’ve made a deeper dive into the records...and there is no evidence. Zero. That president Biden ever knew that at least eight ‘green energy’ orders were enacting in his name.
They looked back and found no public comment-and no written evidence-that Joe Biden ever knew he was ‘signing these’ things. Which means- they are illegitimate executive actions.
Fox News was first to report it:
I think you get the point that ‘power the future’ is making-these are major shifts in energy policy.
They are also the sorts of shifts that an ‘eco-zealot’ president like Joe Biden would have wanted to publicize and take credit for, correct?
When has a president-ever? -banned arctic drilling...or saved a chunk of national forest...or committed the government to net zero emissions-and not? Crowd about it?
All of these are actions that Biden and his regime would naturally-and certainly-crow about if they were doing them on the up-and-up.
Instead- they made these major moves quietly. To the point that there’s not so much as a teleprompter speech that joe gave.... that mentioned them.
Now that’s hinkey. That doesn’t pass the smell test.
And they are right to demand a congressional investigation. This group sent letters this week to some of Trump’s agencies-and to congress
This was a great move by an independent non-profit to take a closer look at the Biden-era policy that was passed that affected them-and/or their area of interest-
And I’d suggest to you that this might only be the beginning: if other special interest groups disliked Biden-era mandates that were just shoved down our throats and believe there is a way to repeal them- you can bet that they are going to devote at least a little bit of time to investigate the matter.
A good place to start is: did President Biden ever-even? -reference them? Even in passing?As they were being auto signed and put into place?
Because-let’s face it: every administration wants every one of their loyalists and activists to know-exactly-what they are doing at every turn. Correct?
And so-even if it’s an action that is unpopular with the American people or the other side of the aisle- administrations crow about their ‘wins’ for their own activist groups. Correct?
They would have -at least-had Biden crowing about these energy-related moves to the eco-zealot activist groups, no?
But is there zero evidence of it?
That sounds like a move that Biden’s regime didn’t want attention to. Didn’t’ want the rest of us to see them doing.
If congressional investigations or outside groups doing FOIA requests can prove that these things were being done-without-Biden’s knowledge-I think it’s’ a different story.
For example: it sounds like it’s already been determined that the horrid Anita Dunn was mostly controlling the autopen. If emails would show her corresponding with others...saying...we don’t need to bother the president with this... Or.....Potus doesn’t need to know about this....
Well-there’s your proof that the elected president- the only one who is constitutionally authorized to issue this order- didn’t even know about it.And that’s grounds to overturn the executive order, I’d think.
Because-if the supreme court would decide that a president doesn’t need to even know what’s going on in his name...well then, we really are a country that is voting for ‘a faceless nameless political party’ to run the country, and not a specific person.
And that’s not how the constitution is written.
The buck must stop with someone. One person has to ultimately make the decision and be responsible to the American people for it.
Not just.... a figure head.
And as long as we are on the topic of ‘green energy fraud...I’d bring it to your attention that the US senate officially ended the State of California’s special status when it comes to regulating smog and electric vehicle standards.
In a great move last week-and one that was long overdue-the congress took away California’s ability to set its own tail pipe emissions.
This ability goes back to an exemption they were given decades ago...as congress was coming up with nationwide café standards.
This, then, allowed senate leader John Thune and GOP senators to kill off that waiver last week using the congressional review act-
And by the way: Chuck Schumer and the democrats had an unholy fit over it.
They insisted that this was violating filibuster rules and violating the congressional review act. The rancid Schumer is insisting that this. This action. Is giving democrats the opening to kill off the filibuster entirely the next time they control the senate and just ram their agenda thru-
For years Schumer and the left have wanted to do this: change the rules of the senate to cheat and to benefit them.
Well, Schumer claims he’s got his opening: the republicans did it first. They ignored the filibuster first.
Except they didn’t: Biden’s White House-genuinely- did not follow the official procedure that had been laid out. They gave California a last-minute waiver and pretended it wasn’t an ‘agency action’ or ‘executive action’ that could later be reviewed by congress.
But it was.Just because you mislabel your action doesn’t make it something else.
And so- that’s what had president trump’s team clarifying: that was an executive action...and you can repeal it easily with a simple majority vote in the senate if you want to.
Thune and company followed through and did it.
Bottom line- this awful California EV mandate is dead.
This was never a popular push...and republicans are finally in the position to stomp out this nonsense.
And the hypocritical car companies-who rushed to embrace EVs and tried to force us all into them because it meant govt subsidies and (what they thought) were going to be larger profits for them... Are now realizing the truth: very few Americans want these cars or find them convenient-
Moreover-they are not profitable: every car company other than tesla has been losing massive amounts of money making them-
And so- now the US auto industry wants to pivot back to making gas powered cars.
