With the president half-way around the world this week-and with a left-wing news media that doesn’t want to report on the many ‘wins’ and ‘positives’ that are coming because of this trip...
The NY and DC media elites are taking the opportunity to try to ‘cleanse themselves’ of the Biden era and rewrite the history of their role in it.
And ironically-because there’s so much time to fill on their cable stations and podcasts- they are dedicating a huge chunk of it to Joe Biden's obvious physical and mental decline-and how they all happily went along with the cover up.
But- a few things are happening, here:
One-you have jake tapper and Alex Thompson -with their book- representing the vast majority of the dishonest, trump hating, democrat loving activist journalists who now want to pretend that they were duped by the Biden white house...and naively believed the lies they were being told...
But two: there’s also this other much smaller group of journalists and pundits among that east coast cabal who are deciding to tell the truth. I’d put Mark Halperin and Tom Bevan in this group.
And it’s not surprising that they are doing their ‘truth telling’ on podcasts- not as the sit on the cable news sets. The ones being honest aren’t being paid- or employees of- the major newspapers and so-called ‘news stations.
That’s’ not a coincidence.
For example- listen to Tom Bevin, one of the founders of real clear politics...who said on his podcast ...he’s not buying the claim from former Biden staffers who are now insisting that...hey...yes, Biden needed more rest because he’s an older man...and yes...he got tired and occasionally slowed down mentally...but may. When he was ‘on the job’...he was ‘on the job’. Sharp as ever. Firing on all cylinders, mentally.
Bevin is correct, of course. They can’t honestly expect us to believe that Biden was only sharp between ten and four...but wow...was he a ‘brilliant mind’ between those hours...and so that’s how they ran his incredibly successful presidency.
Bull plop.
It’s also ridiculous for Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson and Chuck Todd and many of the people in ‘group a’ to insist they were duped. To pretend as if ‘they didn’t see’ what we all saw: a frail, mentally failing, Biden.
And this has been the crux of tapper’s argument in terms of ‘why’ he and the rest of the accomplice media didn’t report on it sooner. I didn’t ask a few questions-
Not over the entire four years of this presidency-
For heaven’s sake:many of us saw the cognitive failure as Biden was running for president from his basement in Delaware in 2020.
At the time-we routinely talked about how there was no way Joe Biden was up for the physical rigors of a normal campaign. There was no way he had the stamina to do four or five campaign stops a day-which is how most candidates exhaustively campaign.
And the covid shutdowns saved him from that. We talked about the basement campaign-
And a significant part of that was me-and others- pointing out how-as he campaigned by zoom call- you could tell that his staffers were sliding him notes and holding up prompts ‘just out of camera range’...to prop him up and get him through those interviews.
People tend to forget-and these reporters want to ignore the fact-that Biden was showing signs of dementia -as he ran for office in 2020!
In fact-one of the few reporters being honest here, is former ABC man, Mark Halperin. He’s got a successful podcast on two-way now. It has quickly become one of the more thoughtful, honest, and influential podcasts in that DC and NY insider’s bubble.
And-Halperin told the story this week about seeing a confused and old and ...possibly dementia-Joe Biden at a 2017 appearance and being shocked.
So now-this is three years-before! - the 2020 election. Halperin now says-I thought i saw a frail and failing Biden at that time-and thought to myself-there’s no way he can run for president. And then he did.
And I don’t know if Halperin then-told that story- during the 2020 campaign. I’d lost sight of the guy by then-
And so-I doesn’t know if he can say-in truth and good conscience- i was one of the people saying it out loud...years ago...
And if he wasn’t- gee- then he was part of the cover up, too.
But I know he’s being honest this week- with comments like this from yesterday’s podcast:
In my segment related to this yesterday- I said: nearly every member of the CNN and NBC, ABC, and CBS stables.... willingly lied on behalf of the Biden regime. ...but now tapper and the rest of the east coast media are trying to rewrite history...and trying to claim this is a ‘Biden scandal’. It’s scandalous that Biden’s team lied to us.
No, no. This is a press scandal. They were protecting Biden by knowingly and willingly lying to their audiences and we can’t let them weasel out of it now.
The press-including Tapper, and Todd, and every lefty on these sets and in the NY Times and Wash Post newsrooms- were fed talking points and lies by the Biden White House...and they then...without a skepticism, or fact checking, or hesitation- promoted those lies as the truth.
That’s what went on here.
So- listen to long-time dc insider Mark Halperin validate that-and agree this is a press scandal- and with Americans having lost almost all trust in the so-called news media- they should all use this opportunity to come clean.
None of them will.
And using tapper and Chuck Todd as examples because you audience members are familiar with them: do you think those arrogant asses...who practically suffer from narcissistic personality disorder...and who are so wrapped up in their own ‘sense of self’ as being ‘ a truth teller’. A bastion of goodness and fairness-
Do you think those two arrogant, self-deluded jackasses are ever going to admit... We have been acting as willing dupes and pawns for the left the democrat party.
Come on. Not a chance.
Now consider that nearly everyone in this elite-level news media all have the same ‘self-image’. They’re all incredible narcissists who think they’re brilliant and the ‘truth tellers.
Name any of them: Margaret Brennan, Leslie Stahl, Kristen Welker, The Times and Post reporters who strut around and insist they are the only ‘honest’ gatekeepers.
None of them are going to admit to playing their role in this. In fact-
In fact- this entire effort this week is now-to do what?
To preserve those egos and their own self-images-by pretending they were duped and lied to- and scapegoating Biden for ‘everything that went wrong in 2024’- including Kammy losing.
My god, people: the dc and media insiders are even trying to insist that kamala Harris would have won last fall-if it wasn’t for Joe Biden.
Now- come on.
We all saw kamala for what she is: she’s a lightweight idiot who has risen well beyond her level of competence and was always in way over her head. All fall. Every day. Refusing to do interviews or news conferences. Refusing to do more than one or two -very tightly managed- events each day. Not having a single position on any of the issues voters cared about.
I can assure you now-and will assure you every day between now and the time I’m put in the grave: there is no way Kamala Harris was going to win that election. It didn’t matter if she got the
‘Late handoff’ from Biden...or had run in a primary and -by some miracle-gotten the nom. There was no way that- that person- who we saw all fall-was going to win that election.
So, let’s not pretend, now, that she could have...but Joe screwed her.
