So much has been going on that I haven’t had a chance to talk about the embarrassing ‘false narrative’ that has developed ‘out of’ the White House correspondents association dinner last Sunday.
On Monday, I talked about what a depressing ‘nerd prom’ it was this year...with no president attending. None of his staffers. No comedian. No important members of congress.
Heck- no Hollywood stars.
Instead, it was a bunch of self-important NY and DC reporters sitting around wallowing in their own irrelevance.
Well- the ‘lasting issue’ that has come out of that depressing dinner- was how none of the speakers could come to grips with- or admit- how they were propagandists and participants in the cover up of joe Biden’s cognitive failure.
This has become a -real sort spot- and that’s evidenced by the fact that the newsy websites and blogs are still talking about it days later.
I said on Monday: these attendees might kid themselves and still insist they are fair minded journalists. But they’re not.
And it’s clear they are struggling with the fact that they know. They know. They were active participants in the effort to prop up-and then cover up- for Joe Biden......and....once he was exposed...they simply shifted over to being advocates and activists to promote Kamala Harris for the job by covering up the fact that she was completely unprepared for the job.
This -cannot be denied- and it’s causing an existential crisis for some of these mainstream media members...after Sunday’s awards dinner.
He says, ‘we could have done better.”
No, they could have done something.
Covering up for Biden’s dementia was entirely intentional....
Which makes it- intentional bias- not a ‘failure’ on their part.
And this is important: the east coast media didn’t ‘botch’ or ‘mishandle’ the coverage of Joe Biden’s decline. They intentionally handled it the way they all wanted to. Didn’t they?
They- with intent- chose not to cover his decline and then write stories defending Biden and insisting he was just fine- when those of us on the right-did- expose Biden’s failures.
Correct?
So, this wasn’t the MSM ‘missing’ a story. This was them being active participants in a cover up!
This wasn’t like reporters...failing to see the pattern as native American girls disappeared off a reservation because a predator was at work.
This wasn’t them ‘missing’ the story.
That’s crap.
This was them being willing and active propagandists for the left and the democrat party. This was them-seeing- Biden’s team lying-and then running the lie and helping in the misdirection.
And that! This is what has destroyed their trust with the public. Not that they ‘could have done better’.
The problem is that the people in that room- are not- journalists.
Now-over the last few years in particular- all these people and newsrooms are being ‘called on’ their biases. They’ve destroyed their own reputation for honesty and fairness or even-handed coverage...and their industries are suffering because of it.
Folks- the mass media outlets are dying. It is primarily because the people who run them and report for them have completely lost their way-and are not engaging in honest or legitimate journalism. And yet, there is no self-reflection.
All these people did was sit around and wallow in their own misery-and blame trump and right-wing alternatives to their product- for their downfall.
Even in this alleged moment of self-reflection...by Alex Thompson....he ‘and they’ were still fooling themselves.
Alex Thompson got some ‘excellence in coverage’ award from the group...for his coverage of joe Biden’s decline.
Yes. Really.
Just presenting him an award for it was bizarre...because none of the people in that room were willing to report on it. They all knowingly hid it from the public.
And so, this was some bizarre attempt to ‘clear their conscience’ without ever admitting to their crime? Or something?
Honestly: it had the vibe of some guy who ‘murdered a mother’ and then sent money to the family-anonymously- for years- because he felt guilty.
We really look like idiots for not covering Biden honestly for five years...so...let’s give an award to one of the few guys who wrote a few stories about it...and kind of did...what we should have done.
That’s how this award presentation looked...so that.... now that the history is about to be written- these fake journalists want to pretend it was a mistake...or that they were duped...and that’s why they missed the big story.
It wasn’t. And they weren’t.
They intentionally ignored the story. They-didn’t want- to report on it. Because they are left wing propagandists only ‘posing’ as journalists.
In fact- in one part of Alex Thompson’s speech- he outed them on the whole charade.
He told his fellow journalists to consider that.... Presidents of ‘both parties’ can be corrupt.
Well...What does that mean?
That unintentionally revealed that everyone in that room- all of NY’s and dc’s reporters- assume that democrat administrations are honest and republican administrations are corrupt...
He basically came out and said: we all know republican administrations are corrupt...but sometimes. We got to look at democrats too.
What is that? Other than an unintentional admission of their institutional bias?
As the saying goes: however much you hate the news media- you cannot hate them enough.
