Now this is scary:
There’s a new survey out from Rutgers university that shows more and more left-wingers are subscribing to violence to further their cause- fighting their political enemies-and get their way.
It finds that over half of the left-wingers interviewed- 55 percent-say killing President Trump would be justified.
That IS scary.
And the researchers put this into the correct context: this is never something that’s been seen as ‘reasonable’ or ‘valid’ in America before: just killing your political enemies.
And the fact that the sentiment is growing to the point of being ‘the majority opinion’ on the left- is alarming.
That’s mortifying. As one researcher puts it: what has always been culturally taboo-has become acceptable.
I’ve been doing this for a long time. I have seen the ‘souring’ of relations between the two sides-and I have seen the escalation in the rhetoric between the two sides-
But never- would i have believed that we now have more than half of people in this country who would identify themselves as either left wingers or democrats- who would say ‘political assassination’ is justifiable.
As bad as our political discourse has gotten-especially during the trump years- and as fueled by the leftist haters-
I never would have thought half of all democrats, basically, would say killing President Trump is okay. Would be justifiable.
That’s terribly disheartening and sickening.
Fourty percent say violence against Tesla’s is an acceptable way to ‘lash back’ at Elon. Really?
Because that’s akin to burning down your neighbor’s house or lighting their car on fire in their driveway... Because he or she disagrees with you, politically. Is that where this is going?
I suppose we shouldn’t be too surprised at this when gunmen tried to kill President Trump twice. Twice. Before the election, and all the democrats and their accomplices in the media could do was downplay both incidents and try to make them ‘one day’ stories.
When you step back and look at it from any reasonable or historical perspective- it really is nuts that- in the most modern era of media and technology -ever-we had ‘not one’ but ‘two’ assassination attempts on a president and nearly everyone in the media just sort of shrugged their shoulders and said.... well... He’s not dead. This is, like, a one-day story...
But imagine if Obama or Biden would have been shot at? We’d still be learning details about the gunman. His family. His grandnieces. The toad he killed when he was six. etc.
Do you know what I saw yesterday?
Honest to God- i saw this on April sixth, 2025...and amid the tariff coverage...and markets dropping...and a six-year-old murdered in Milwaukee....etc.
I ran across a headline on real clear politics: what we know about January sixth.
Are you kidding me?
Is someone still obsessing over that? But we still know nothing about the man who tried to shoot trump in the head. Eh. Who cares?
And then these media outlets wonder why no one watches their product or subscribes to their paper, anymore.
Yesterday-we got all sorts of coverage on the silly and useless weekend protests even though no one seemed to really know what they were protesting.
you know those crowds were full of a high concentration of people who think it’d be okay to kill Trump or Elon... Correct?
I mean-if you are looking for the people who responded to the Rutgers survey saying violence against them was justified-well-you’d go looking for them in these protest crowds on Saturday, right?
And the ‘moron quotient’ was high.
And I guess we need to start looking at these groups of people ‘differently’. We need to start looking at some of them as ‘dangerously dumb’.
Because-if this gaggle of idiots comes to spit fire and anger every time, they get an email on their leftist newswire-
Well then- what will it take to push some of these ‘highly impressionable’ people into thinking that violence against republicans is okay?
By definition- we are dealing with very gullible and impressionable people here, aren’t we.
We are talking about people who will rush to ‘participate’ in something to ‘feel connected’ or ‘feel they have purpose’ in their empty lives.
How far is the leap from that to ‘doing violence on behalf of the cause?’
It’s not far.
That study is alarming.
