I opened the show with a segment on how- apparently- we are ‘right back’ to the same old sort of intentionally dishonest and misleading reporting that we got out of so-called news outlets in Donald Trump’s first term.
Yesterday, after a very reasonable and informative news conference with reporters- several ‘hair on fire’ and ‘overblown’ headlines followed.
One of which was: Trump won’t rule out military force to take Panama Canal and Greenland.
Oh, for heaven’s sake: he’s not storming into other countries with our US military.
That idiotic ‘take’ on what Trump said is based on an idiotic question from a lefty reporter trying to ‘make news’ of the sort that we saw in the first trump term: try to get him to say something...and twist whatever comes out of his mouth.
We are right back to this, folks.
A lefty reporter asked: will you vow not to use military force against Panama or Greenland to get the Panama Canal back or to control the arctic?
He asks this- even though no one has talked about using military force against Panama or Greenland. Including trump.
What a stupid question. And so, Trump brushes it off
Somehow- that response turned into an intentionally misleading headline splashed across the leftist media, yesterday.
Folks, trump’s not bombing Panama or sending the marines into Greenland. The very idea is idiotic.
Now-
He could- could- order air strikes on Iran if he and Bebe in Israel decide that they need to take out Iran’s nuclear sites so that those evil mullahs never, ever get the nuclear bomb.
Trump took steps to stop it in his first term-that Biden then immediately undid when he came into office- allowing Iran to continue on the path toward the nuclear bomb and ICBM’s to deliver them to distant continents.... or lob them into Israel.
And so, it’s more legit to ask trump about how he’s going to handle Iran, but again, the question of ‘will you bomb Iran’ is stupid. He’s not going to answer it. But- a reporter tried that:
I’m with Trump on that one, too. It’s not -really- a question that a seasoned reporter should expect him to answer. The dumbest thing any u-s president can do is to publicize their plan or rule out options for themselves...when it comes to dealing with foreign enemies.
And yet, during the Clinton, Obama, and Biden eras we have seen all three of those men and their regimes make stupid admissions and put stupid limits on themselves...and publicize it to our enemies.
As in: no matter how much Iran pushes you? Is there a military response off the table?
Duh...yes.
Who’d be dumb enough to say that? Well....Barrack Obama and John Kerry....Joe Biden and Tony Blinken. etc.
Trump’s not.
