Biden's bluster will only prolong the dockworkers strike

The White House re-stated it again yesterday: Joe Biden and his White House will not get involved in this major dock worker’s strike.

He could-as president-invoke the Taft Hartley act and order dock workers back to work-for at least a 90 day ‘cooling off and negotiating period’...

But ‘Union Joe’ has insisted he’s never liked fatherly, and he’s not going to do it.

In making this announcement, Biden’s team insisted that the strike isn’t going to be too disruptive. Quote...for now.

Whatever that means.

The only change in protocol seems to be that-despite their public stance- Biden’s regime-is-trying to bring both sides to the table and hope they can find a deal. But it’s not a very organized effort.

Moreover-the blowhard who leads the longshoreman’s union has made it clear that ‘Joe Biden told me he’s on our side. It’s the businesses that got to cave to us.

If that’s the case-

And if Joe Biden has already made it clear that the dock owners cave to demands of a 77 percent raise and guaranteed employment-

Well- this could be a long strike, indeed.

Some are already wondering how firm Biden really is in saying he won’t order them back to work. Does that mean-ever? At any point?

Or could that stance change as a strike wears on.

Democrats like Kathy Hocul, the NY governor, claimed that it’s a good thing this strike is happening so close to election day, so voters won’t’ really feel the sting of it until after they vote.

That’s a dumb thing for a politician to say out loud, by the way.

Several social media voices and a few listeners to this show have floated the theory that this is a ‘dark political ops’ sort of operation-in which a deal has already been coordinated: see, the dock workers go out on strike...and make noise. And toss the country into a tizzy for a week or so and then...kamala Harris rides in to negotiate the deal and save the day- giving her a great last-minute boost before election day.

The only problem with that scenario is one- it’s a little too ‘out there’...

Two-Biden’s regime isn’t smart enough to think of it- or- coordinate it...and...

Three- no one’s going to believe that -Kamala Harris- of all people...needed to be called in to get this done.

Even low information voters wouldn’t buy this: there was only one person in the country who had the savvy, the gravitas, and the jujitsu style negotiating skills to get a quick resolution to this-and it was Kamala Harris.

Come on.

She just proved this week that she can’t negotiate a podcast interview with two NBA stars. She’s not going to negotiate this sort of high-level deal-

Which-by the way- is another reason she has no business being president.so- this Harold Daggett- who is the union head for this Long Shoreman’s union- seems really, really invested in making the American people suffer for a while-before he agrees to any deal.

Have you heard anything from this man?

Here’s a blurb from yesterday

Folks- he-Dagget- makes 900-thousand dollars a year heading this union. He drives around in a Bentley and owned a 76-foot yacht up until a few days ago-

And we are supposed to believe he’s the voice of the working man?

Moreover- every one of these dock workers that he’s claiming are so ‘under-appreciated’ is making at least 140-thousand dollars a year- and some are making a quarter of a million dollars a year. Doing a blue collar-but admittedly-very important job.

Oh-and on top of that average salary of 150-thousand dollars a year -is a 35-thousand-dollar, rock solid, health and benefits package.

Go and ask your employer how much your benefits package costs them. If it’s 35-thousand dollars, you truly rank among the most elite workers in America-when it comes to benefit compensation.

That’s an insane figure.

So, what is this clown talking about?

But he sure is ‘aggrieved’ and he sure sounds like he wants to make this drag out for a while just to make a point. Just to make certain-certain- Americans are harmed here. Feel the sting of non-functioning docks.

And yes, this is Joe Biden’s strike, in a very real way-because- as the Wall St Journal editors point out-he and today’s democrats relentlessly insist that labor unions need to be extraordinary powers over us-and the economy.

The current Boeing strike, UAW strikes, a UPS strike- all have the same hallmarks of unions in the Biden era winning rich contracts as they crush the industries that have provided the jobs.

These recent UAW deals guarantee- guarantee-that even more auto production ends up in Mexico and in non-unionized plants in right-to-work states.

But today’s thuggish union bosses don’t care. They’ve always been okay with evaporating jobs- down the road- so long as they can pretend, they are winning-today.

And that’s what’s going on here-with all these major union contracts- of the Biden era.

It’s a round of fake ‘union winning’ that is going to lead to lost jobs and eventually ‘no paycheck’ for the people who these union leaders insist they are helping.

We’ve seen this movie before. Repeatedly, since the late 70s and early 80s. It isn’t ‘union winning’.

And having Biden and the dems encouraging it- certainly isn’t helping the American people.
