J-Lo, Switchfoot, and The Roots Headline Summerfest Tonight

Don’t be fooled by the rocks that she’s got—and the millions of records she’s sold—she’s still just Jenny from the Block. Music and movie megastar Jennifer Lopez headlines the American Family Insurance Amphitheater tonight. J-Lo’s “It’s My Party” Tour is her first in six years, and the stars of the NBC show she produces, “World of Dance,” will open up at 7:30.

On the ground stages, Loverboy is working for the long Fourth of July weekend on the Uline Warehouse at 10:00. It’s a triple bill at the Miller Lite Oasis with Hawthorne Heights at 7:00 and YUNGBLUD at 8:30. Then at 10:00, Taking Back Sunday takes over.

Lauren Alaina will headline the U.S. Cellular Connection Stage at 10:00. Grammy-nominated reggae group SOJA plays the Johnson Controls World Sound Stage at 10:00. Hip-hop legends and Tonight Show house band The Roots hit the BMO Harris Pavilion at 9:45.

Norwegian DJ and producer Matoma spins at the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse at 10:00 with up-and-coming dance music producers Two Friends opening at 8:00.

Get to the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard early to catch The Association at 3:00. At 10:00, the hard-rocking Switchfoot will headline, but be sure to get there early for tonight’s sleeper pick—a band you might not know but won’t want to miss. Edmonton-based rockers Royal Tusk have been together since 2011, but they’ve broken out after the release of their second album this past fall. Its first single, Aftermath, hit Billboard’s Mainstream Rock charts and they’ve been building buzz ever since. Catch them at the Big Backyard at 8:00 tonight.
