The UW student group called "C*cks Not Glocks" plans to protest conservative writer Katie Pavlich.
Never mind how inane and absurd it is to wield rubber dildos in "protest" over...what again?. Or how inane and absurd it is to call a standard-issue conservative student group like Young Americas Foundation "alt-right". Or how inane and absurd it is to refer to Katie Pavlich, a mainstream, smart, accomplished young conservative woman as "extreme". Never. Mind!
What MUST BE NOTED here is that the University of Wisconsin has EXPLICIT guidelines and rules government student/staff/faculty behavior regarding SEXUAL HARASSMENT.
An excerpt from the UW Madison's policy:
University of Wisconsin-Madison Sexual Harassment Policy for University Staff Employees
(Effective January 1982)
I. Policy
It is the policy of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in keeping with efforts to establish an environment in which the dignity and worth of all members of the university community are respected, that sexual harassment of students and employees at UW-Madison is unacceptable conduct and will not be tolerated. Sexual harassment may involve the behavior of a person of either sex against a person of the opposite or same sex, when that behavior falls within the definition outlined below.
II. Definition
Sexual harassment of employees and students at UW-Madison is defined asany unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and otherverbal and physical conduct of a sexual nature when:
A. Submission to or rejection of such conduct is made either explicitlyor implicitly a term or condition of an individual's employment.
B. Submission to or rejection of such conduct is used as the basis for employment decisions affecting that individual.
C. Such conduct has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an individual's work or educational performance or creates a hostile, intimidating or offensive work or educational environment.
THIS IS GOVERNED by federal law under TITLE IX.
Katie Pavlich being "protested" by a bunch of dumb, angry MEN wielding DILDOS seems a pretty flagrant violation of the UW's OWN STATED POLICY on sexual harassment, specifically this portion:
"...Such conduct has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an individual's work or educational performance or creates a hostile, intimidating or offensive work or educational environment"
On a campus that demands men confront their "toxic masculinity", how on EARTH is it acceptable for these same angry men to wield DILDOS at a young WOMAN speaker, and the many young WOMEN who will be in attendance?
Does the UW system stand behind its policies protecting women from harassment? Or do only LIBERAL women get that protection--and it's OK to wave giant rubber penises in the faces of conservative women?
