Two-thirds of House Dems voted against deporting illegal rapists

Jay Weber Show transcript 1-17-25

A second bill related to deporting criminals passed the house yesterday, and this time it got at least a few more democrats voting for it than it did last time-

And this, too, is a bill that only a lunatic lefty would disagree with.

The bill says: we will deport illegal immigrants who commit sexual assault.

Can you imagine voting against that bill?

Well- 145 of the house democrats did-with about 60 voting in favor of it.

Over two-thirds of democrats in congress-refuse to agree that illegal alien rapists and sexual criminals can be deported.

Just pathetic.

This is another bill- like the Laken Riley act-that republican passed thru the house last year-but Chuck Schumer refused to even hold a vote on in the senate.

So, taking their rapists and domestic abuser spouses or boyfriends off the streets and ensuring they can’t rape or assault their victims- or anyone else in America- again-

Jayapal wants to label as ‘doing absolutely nothing’ for the country or those women?

That’s such a vile spin that she should be skewered for it.

Republicans talked about ‘what a shame it is’ that we even need to pass special legislation like this- to ensure any illegal alien who commits a sex crime or domestic violence is detained and deported.

They are saying, ‘this should just be a given’, and they are correct.

This is also a bill that Chuck Schumer could block from becoming law when he was in charge of the senate- and he did.

Think about the despicable senate leader who would refuse to allow this to pass.

Chuck Schumer proved that he is that person.

But now that John Thune and the republicans are in control of the senate-this is another bill that Thune can-and will-schedule for a floor vote. And at that point- Schumer and his fellow senate democrats will have to decide whether they want this ‘no’ vote on their records.

I’m guessing that we could see the sort of ‘sudden’, ‘shocking’ dem cooperation that we saw about a week ago with the Laken Riley act.

And there’s still no guarantee that the senate democrats will allow either of them to pass into law. The dem senators could still filibuster a final vote and if at least seven of them don’t’ go along with the republicans at that point, the legislation would be dead.

But this is just the start of what is going to be numerous. Numerous pro-America, anti-illegal bills that the dems are going to have to vote on-

And they’ll be on top of border and immigration-related executive orders from Donald Trump.

JD Vance talked about the wave of change that’s coming soon.

We’ve talked about how- even if you wouldn’t think so-  so much -

So much of the current border crisis is related to simple ‘messaging’.  Joe Biden and Barrack Obama made it clear: you can stay if you can get in and our regimes will let you in...so...come on and come in...

Trump’s message in the first term-and especially in the second-is ‘the path is shut. Don’t even waste your time and life savings on the trip. Stay home. You won’t get in’.

That message-alone-from Donald Trump and JD Vance and Tom Homan will be enough to freeze this relentless flood of illegals in place on day one of the trump era-

But then the follow-up proof is going to be important. Foreigners from around the globe are going to need to ‘see evidence’ and hear personal stories of people who were turned away. Gave coyotes tens of thousands of dollars to be taken to America. Only to be left stuck in Mexico. Etc.

Some level of proof that ‘you can’t get in’ is going to be required here after such an automatic and unrelenting flood under Biden.

And it will be up to trump’s team and congressional republicans to provide that proof. Pass ‘remain in Mexico’. Start the deportations. Show them on the news. Invite the news media to show video of construction on the wall resuming. Hanging new gates. Etc.

I’m thinking trump’s team might even need to as trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, to ‘reign in’ his rhetoric...

Because this guy is doing interviews that make him sound like ‘the devil is coming’ for anyone who’s illegal in this country... When that’s not the case and we don’t want to lose the high public support Trump, and the GOP currently have for deportations.

Reign in rhetoric.

Everything changes on January 20th. Great. That is what the people in 180 other countries need to hear: everything has changed. Stay home.
