It's so bad, even Tim Walz's military chaplain calls him a coward

Jay Weber Show transcript 8-12-24

My friends-there are several reasons why the ‘stolen valor’ story isn’t going to ‘go away’ for Tim Walz and the Harris campaign-

The main reason is: this is a ‘big thing’ for veterans of wars, for those who have served in the military-whether they saw combat or not- for military families on both sides of the aisle and regardless of political affiliation.

A second reason this isn’t going away-and shouldn’t- is that the democrats and the Walz defenders are still ‘minimizing’ what it is he did and how he has characterized his military service since.

Tim Walz served in the national guard -in peacetime-for 24 years, yes, but the minute his unit–a unit he commanded- was called up for duty, he bailed on them. And in a very slippery manner: as he was telling his superior and the other battalion commanders who were planning for the deployment that he was going to Iraq....he was wrestling his way into ‘retirement’ thru back channels.

Then, after he’d let down his guard unit and army commanders, he ran for congress and has spent the last 20 years lying about having seen combat.

There are myriad lies here. Myriad ways Tim Walz proved he was a slipper scumbag. And he’s on tape repeatedly indicating he’s a war veteran. This is no small thing.

And the fact that you now have CNN, the NY Times, and Washington Post all being forced into doing ‘fact checking’ and covering the story-shows you how large this controversy has grown over the last week or more.

It all shows how much of an issue this is for the dems campaign.

A third reason this isn’t going away is that the Harris/Walz campaign and democrats are still lying about it. The Harris campaign is now saying Walz ‘misspoke’ in those videos that show him saying he ‘carried weapons in war’.

No, he lied and knew he was lying-

But okay. That only addresses ‘one claim’ he has made over the years-and doesn’t address -at all-the fact that he retired without telling his army commanders or fellow guardsmen and ghosted them in 2005, upon their deployment.

Folks-

And this is especially for those of you in the audience who think this isn’t being honestly characterized by Walz’s former guardsmen- or people like me-

Ladies and gentlemen- over the weekend- the chaplain of Walz’s guard unit-

The chaplain! Of the unit! Said Tim Walz abandoned his men and is a coward.

Now- come on. If you aren’t going to believe me. If you aren’t going to believe the fellow commanders who say Walz ‘skunked out and screwed them’. If you aren’t going to believe the men in Walz’s battalion.

Will you believe the freaking chaplain of the unit!

Come on, people. There can be no doubt, anymore. Tim Walz’ retirement was not ‘above board’, or ‘normal’, or anything of the sort.

He effed his own men, over.

Take it from chaplain Corey Ba-Jert-ness:

“In our world, to drop out after a WARNORD [warning order] is issued is cowardly, especially for a senior enlisted guy,” said retired Capt. Corey Bjertness, now a pastor in Horace, North Dakota.

It is bad- in the eyes of a military member- when a fellow soldier doesn’t step up and lead when called upon to do so. And the fact that Tim Walz is now in the position in which he could be ‘commander in chief’ someday, is particularly irksome to these veterans and servicemen.

There is zero doubt that-for 20 years- Tim Walz has used ‘stolen valor’ for his personal gain.

He’s not even one of these drunken jackasses that just sits at the end of the bar and makes up stories about how he served in Vietnam or Iraq. They’re ‘stealing valor’, but it’s only the people in the bar who are supposed to be impressed.

Tim Walz wore his military service on his sleeve-and in interview after interview. Stump speech after stump speech. Spoke as if he was a war vet.

He attended protests-as a war vet.

There are now over a dozen clips of walk-in interviews-either saying he went to war. Hinted at it. Or didn’t correct an interviewer when he or she called him a war vet of either Iraq or Afghanistan.

This is something he did repeatedly, repeatedly, to impress people. And it’s far worse than Joe Biden’s ‘corn pop’ story, folks.

One of the new clips circulating over the weekend was from C-Span in 2016-

He’s being interviewed by Greta Brawner...and as she’s introducing him-she reads his resume to viewers-

Which is provided by him or his people- by the way- as ‘background info’ before he does the interview-

And she calls him a veteran of Afghanistan, while Walz just sits there smiling and nodding along.

And- for most people-it might look like the least innocuous video clip-

As in- well, okay, he didn’t correct her...but...no big deal.

No, no. For people in broadcast media, they know that  a) ‘Walz or his team’ would have if bio- or b) if the host simply had it wrong, Walz should have corrected it.

And this is C-Span. Doing sloppy ‘fact checking’ is not something they are known for. So, the only way these falsehoods could have made it onto the air in this interview is if Walz, himself, provided them...and if so, ‘of course’ he wouldn’t correct them when they were read out loud-with the cameras rolling-

Because the entire point was to deceive the audience. Right?

That’s why this excuse that ‘oh, so Walz misspoke, big deal’...doesn’t cut it.

Harris’ campaign hasn’t responded to -any-of Walz’s falsehoods and instances of stolen valor- at all-

Other than one clip in which he talks about carrying AR-style weapons into war-and they want to claim he ‘misspoke’.

Okay-now address the myriad other instances in which he is-on tape- at town halls, in interviews, at campaign rallies- stealing valor and pretending he’s a combat vet.

Now explain those.

They can’t.

And neither Walz nor kamala are doing interviews or answering press questions. They’re taking enough heat for that that Harris has now ‘approached the rope line’ of reporters once or twice without really taking or answering any questions.

The one moment we got- last week-Kamala walked over and was asked about Walz’ stolen valor-and it had her quickly walking away, again.

The entire point is Tim Walz-didn’t- present him
