If you didn’t see any of the -very disappointing and frustrating- congressional hearing with Biden’s pathetic secret service head-
You should know that Kimberly Cheadle has gone to the ‘Hillary Clinton’ and ‘Alejandro Mayorkas’ school of testification... And she was a good student.
This woman-told us nothing.
Kim Cheadle adopted the super-frustrating technique that virtually all democrat cabinet members and appointees take- when they testify in front of congress, now.
They deflect, lie, and stonewall.
Kim Cheadle was- at times-clearly lying. At other times, she was simply refusing to answer direct questions. She used the old fallback excuse that ‘she couldn’t tell congressman anything because it was an on-going investigation’.
In short- she was as useless as i expected her to be. We -really do- need to amend the long-standing rules of congressional hearings-and give our lawmakers more power to compel testimony-with termination, loss of pension, and even jail time if these executive branch minions refuse to cooperate or tell the truth.
For decades now- have been explaining why congressional hearings are infuriating and useless-and we saw it in spades again yesterday.
And hey- shock of shocks-
This time. In a very rare moment indeed- this time even democrats on this panel were getting very PO’d with Kim Cheadle and calling for her resignation-to her face.
It’s rare in today’s hyper partisan atmosphere to- not-have every democrat on the panel simply grandstanding and making excuses for a democrat regime, too-
But in a rare instance, yesterday, the dems actually ‘stepped up’...and they were nearly as cross and angry with Cheatle as the republicans were- and demanding answers.
It was shocking to see the democrats-actually-interested in doing more than running interference for the Biden regime.
Still-Cheadle wasn’t offering-anything-of value. She simply sat there and took the abuse- and was nearly as stoic and inanimate as Mayorkas is-when he testifies at these things.
They just sit there. Vacant. Not even having the decency to show a modicum of shame. And pretend as if they have no answers to anything other than, ‘it wasn’t their fault’....and ‘their people performed admirably’.... etc.
This woman- Kim Cheadle- is the reason that no one trusts government. She really is.
This woman is the reason that ‘words’ and ‘sentiments’ mean nothing in politics or in government, anymore.
This chick sat down- and in her opening statement-called the attempted assassination on trump one of the worst secret service failures in decades. She said- she took full responsibility for it-
And then-for the next few hours- denied any responsibility. Had no answers. And refused to resign.
Her opening words- meant nothing.
Listen to congressman Jim Jordan ask her whether her agency was lying for over a week-as they insisted that Donald Trump and his security team haven’t been asking for more help and resources for two years- or whether she didn’t know what was going on in her own department-because it’s one or the other.
And again- no answers. Kim Cheatle didn’t answer a direct question all morning-unless a congressman phrased it in a yes or no-and pushed her-to mouth the word, yes or no.
Here's another example for you-and this is one of those democrat congressmen who actually ‘stepped up’.
This is congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi- of Illinois- grilling Cheadle.
The entire hearing was like that: Kim Cheadle was intentionally useless
Over and over again- Kim Cheadle was told -to her face by u-s congressman- to resign. And she refused.
Other congressmen even asked her: do you know what other secret service directors have done after assassination attempts?
They have resigned in disgrace for failing at their jobs.
Kimmy...didn’t care.
Whatever. I’m not going to. I have no integrity.
That was her attitude.
She had no answers-on anything.
Why wasn’t that roof secured?
Why weren’t those buildings secured?
How could someone stash a gun there ahead of time?
Why isn’t a guy in fatigues, low crawling on the roof with a gun, an urgent threat?
Why did they let Trump go on stage even after they knew there was a threat?
Apparently, the secret service was notified of the shooter’s presence somewhere between two and five times-before the shots were fired- and no one reacted.
Cheadle claimed that-the first time the agents on the ground around trump knew there was a threat-was when the shots rang out.
How can that be? If there had been chatter about this guy for ten minutes, twenty minutes, an hour- before trump took the stage?
Well-oops- we can never really know that -because Cheadle says she can’t find any tapes of the agent’s chatter ahead of time.
Folks-anyone who was inclined to believe the conspiracy theories about how this was all orchestrated and how this was an ordered ‘hit’ on trump- only got more ‘evidence’ of it yesterday, given Cheadle’s testimony.
And no, I do not believe it was an intentional plan by Biden’s secret service to have Trump killed.
But I-do believe- that the people atop Biden’s secret service are just like the people atop Biden and Obama’s DOJ, and FBI, and CIA- etc.-
I -do believe- that Biden’s secret service didn’t particularly care if someone tried to kill Donald trump.
Knowing everything we know now- that much is clear.
Cheadle didn’t have a clue as to why the security perimeter had been drawn to be so small. Couldn’t answer a single question about a single failure that day-
And- hell- Kim Cheadle couldn’t even say how many requests the Trump security team had made for more help over the last two years-
She was like Mayorkas: even though they knew what questions were going to come up at the hearing- they intentionally didn’t prepare for them. They intentionally didn’t bring along data, or visual aids, or charts to help explain.
Nope. I don’t have any of that information with me, congressman, sorry.... was the answer.
I don’t have any interest in helping Kamala Harris’ campaign- but one – excellent and savvy move- Harris could make today is: break with Biden and insist Kim Cheadle should be fired-
And vow that- if Harris wins in fall- Kim Cheadle will no longer be director of the secret service and a top-down reform will occur.
Wouldn’t that be a very smart way to separate herself from Biden and set a new tone for the campaign?
And it’s a lay-up.
Harris should break with Biden and say, ‘if I was Joe, I’d fire Kim Cheadle’.
