This shouldn’t really surprise anyone: a new TIPP poll shows that most voters think Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will be biased-against-trump on Thursday.
Well, of course they will. Even democrats and regular CNN viewers know that.
If you watch CNN-you know that these two aren’t fair and balanced journalists. You know they are Trump skeptics and bashers-heck-it’s probably the reason that you are watching them.
And so-
How many Americans consuming today’s ‘news media’ would answer this question otherwise?
Those numbers actually-are not good-for Donald trump, because they show the expectation is that he will do better than Biden.
Trump and Biden’s critics have done such a good job of characterizing Joe Biden as ‘doddering Joe’, ‘clueless joe’, ‘sleepy Joe’, that they have set the bar super-low for him on Thursday.
Basically, if Biden shows up and ‘shows a pulse’, he’s going to be declared ‘the winner’.
Meanwhile- trump will be debating Biden, Jake Tapper, and Dana Bash. You know their questions will all be slanted and based on false premises.
You know they are going to intentionally ask asinine questions like: do you still think the 2020 election was stolen from you, Donald?

We are going to be subjected to asinine crap like that. That’s a given. It will be interesting to me to see-how much- tapper and/or dana bash try to jump in and save President Biden if he’s struggling.
Will these two ‘credible journalists’ just let the answers play out-and the night play out- without feeling the need to interfere or leap to Biden’s aid if he’s struggling?
I doubt it.
But if anyone ‘alive’ still believes CNN doesn’t have a strong left-wing bias, they’re either under the age of five- or a moron.
In fact- a CNN host and producer proved their left wing bias just yesterday-when anchor Kasie hunt abruptly ended an interview with Donald Trump’s chief campaign spokeswoman because she was painting an honest picture of Jake Tapper-and the regular anti-trump bias that he’s displayed over and over again on CNN for 8 years.
Karoline Leavitt was-ironically- trying to read old Jake Tapper quotes that make it clear he hates Donald Trump.
She said in an interview later: CNN won’t let me re-read the very things that their wonder-boy, Jake Tapper, has said over their airwaves over the last 8 years.
And she’s right. This was CNN ‘censuring’ its own content and its own ‘network star’.
Leavitt, for her part, said her being kicked off of the air just proves that CNN won’t be fair to president Trump on Thursday night.
So why debate on CNN?
Well-she said-Donald trump keeps his word-and he said he’d debate Joe Biden ‘anytime, anywhere’, and so, even if it’s CNN, he’s doing it.
Biden and his team would never agree to a fox debate-and we don’t have to guess at that. After these two- ‘and two only’ -debates were announced, fox execs said they wanted to host a VP debate-and the idea was shot down immediately by the Biden campaign and white house.
They’d never let doddering Joe or heels-up Harris debate on fox-even though Fox moderators have proven to be very fair over the years-and asked tough questions of Donald Trump during debates in 2016 and 2020.
Remember how angry Trump was with Megan Kelly after the fox debate in 2016?
Fox news people aren’t closet conservative activists-but everyone at CNN sure seems to be closeted left wing activist.
Trump’s doing a debate there, none-the-less.
The ‘truth’ is- both Tapper and Dana Bash have a long history of bashing Donald Trump, and taking nasty shots at him, on the set of CNN. Both have such a long history of it-that it dates to 2016-when Donald trump first entered politics.
Tapper has likened Donald Trump to Hitler on a few different occasions, and was one of the main purveyors on CNN of the ‘Russia collusion’ lie...pretending Trump was a Putin stooge.
Pretending the Steele dossier was real.
Jake tapper clearly-on a guttural level-hates Donald Trump.
Many of us remember how ashen-faced and pathetic Jake Tapper looked on election night, 2016, when it was clear Hillary had lost.
Even as a ‘professional’ news guy, Tapper couldn’t hide his real feelings. He looked like he was going to cry. He was ashen, and dejected, and –
It was glorious.
I guarantee you they will try to hop in and ‘save’ President Biden if he’s struggling, or rambling, on Thursday night. Watch for it.
Meanwhile-trump- in terms of his debate strategy-
He understands that he was too aggressive in the first debate on 2020-
But he says-it’s because all Joe Biden does it lie-and you naturally want to hop in and call him on the lie.
Democrats wanted as few distractions as possible for dementia Joe-
And that’s one reason that they insisted on no audience. The other is that- duh- most Americans hate Joe Biden now and would be willing -with their applause or boos- call him out on the serial lying that he’s going to be doing on Thursday night.
Come on: the Biden campaign didn’t’ want an audience there reacting to Biden’s lie-when he says he inherited nine percent inflation. He’s certain tapper and bash won’t call him out on it-but a live audience would-in their own way.
The Biden team can’t have an audience of knowledgeable people sitting there!
Come on.
Not when 95 percent of Biden’s night is going to be gaslighting.
(The other five percent is going to be Biden passing gas.
You know-at his age-this guy is a constant, slow leak. The air around him is five percent methane at any given time, now)
Trump also made it clearer that CNN’s original proposal had the candidates sitting down. This proves to me that CNN execs-literally- asked the Biden team what rules and parameters they wanted around this debate-before they ever approached trump.
In fact, Trump thinks they intentionally made him an offer that he’d turn down-so that they could pretend that trump was running scared: hey, trump said, any time anywhere, and now he won’t live up to it’.
Trump’s theory is that CNN colluded with the Biden regime to float an offer Trump would turn down. Instead, Trump accepted it and ‘darn it, I guess Joe’s really got to debate, now.’
That is-at least-why trump says he accepted the ridiculous conditions of this debate.
I think the lack of an audience probably hurts trump-in the sense that- just having one there would have helped him-
But having the mics turned off if it’s not your turn to speak-i think- will help Trump. As I’ve said in passing for weeks: if trump has the discipline to let Biden ramble...he’s bound to say something stupid or ‘fog brained’...and prove that he’s not up to this task, anymore.
Another thing we learn is Trump isn’t doing debate prep. He’s not doing mock debates, like he’s done in the past. He doesn’t think it helps.
And so, if Biden is drugged up and overly prepared and trump walks in thinking he can wing it-
There’s a chance this could be a long, embarrassing night for Donald Trump instead of Joe Biden.
I’ll stick with my original prediction that these debates are more of a ‘trap’ for Donald Trump than a positive-
Unless. Unless- Biden is really so far gone that its embarrassing-and evident to every person watching.
