A rolling theme of the show has become related to how today’s democrat party leaders and activists have simply become social, political and cultural bullies who are determined to -by god- get their way-any way they can.
It doesn’t matter what most voters want.
It doesn’t matter whether their idea is going to harm or hurt all sorts of people: they are just going to slam their changes into place, anyway, when they can.
Examples abound: the disastrous open borders that the America-hating left has always wanted. Now they are a disastrous reality for the American people.
No one wanted open borders. The American people never called for this. No matter.
The move to force electric cars onto us. The effort to ban gas stoves and appliances under the patently false claim that they are a health issue.
The pattern is always the same: try to trick and gaslight the public into getting their way, any way they can. And if tricking and gas lighting don’t work-then just bully and force the changes into place, anyway....as we have seen with all these examples.
In this segment, i want to talk about how-against the will of most of their own voters-Michigan’s democrats have repealed ‘right to work’ laws in that state.
In what is a move that is a huge gift to the socialists and the failing labor unions, Michigan’s democrats have made them the first state in the nation to repeal what are very popular ‘right to work’ laws.
Folks-most Michiganders didn’t -want-or -ask- democrats to do this. But the left has total control in Michigan now, and they are going to pass any laws that they and their activists want them to- and the people of Michigan can just go ‘pound sand’.
this became official on Friday-when their silly, shiny-faced governor, Gretchen Whitmer, signed a repeal bill that had passed both chambers of the Michigan state legislature.
Dems control both chambers following the fall of ’22 elections, and repealing right to work was their biggest mission. It is what i would call the first ‘genuine’ major victory for labor unions in the states-in years. This means that unions in Michigan can start to force people back into the unions. Can start taking union dues-by force-again. Directly out of paychecks. Can start to mandate union membership as a condition of any job in a unionized place, now.
It's back to old-school, 20th century, union bullying for Michigan and its workers.
Michigan’s’ right to work law was passed in 2012 by republican lawmakers and were supported by 2/3 of Michiganders at the time. They’ve had a significant-positive-effect on Michigan’s business environment since.
Having the ability to choose whether you want to be in the union remains incredibly popular with Michigan’s workers.
But- ‘eff them’....Whitmer and the dems said, anyway. And of course, Whitmer lied as she did it.
How is it ‘respecting’ workers if you are taking away one of their most basic worker freedoms?
The sponsor of the bill also needed to lie to make this sound commendable.
Since right to work was passed there in 2012, polls have consistently showed that most Michigan workers supported ‘right to work’ and rejected forced unionization. And so, the guy’s simply lying, as he and his party pay off their union donors and anti-freedom activists.
Oh-and do you know what the Michigan democrats’ credit for regaining the majorities in that state-and making this possible?
They credit a so-called ‘independent commission’ that redrew Michigan’s electoral maps and rigged the game in favor of the democrats.... which is what Wisconsin dems want to do here.
Michigan republicans followed Wisconsin and Scott Walker’s reforms...and revitalized Michigan’s economy with them.... And now democrats are back in charge and repealing it all.
It is the perfect, terrible, cautionary tale for Wisconsin. Democrats cannot win back the majorities in the legislature any time soon, and they know it, so they are trying to accomplish the same goals thru illegitimate means.
They want to repeal Wisconsin’s reforms thru the judicial branch....by putting a fourth activist judge onto the state supreme court in April.
Folks-the putrid Janet Protaswiecz is promising left-wing groups that she will repeal act ten, redo our redistricting maps, toss out right-to-work...Anything the activist left wants done- Protaswiecz is making it clear- she’ll do.
We’ll get to that in a moment...but first i want to finish up on the terrible turn of events this is for Michigan, and it’s people.
Michigan’s economy and Michigan’s workplaces are about to start degrading dramatically, again.
As for Protaswiecz being the vehicle that the socialist left wants to use to do the same thing here-
The stakes of the April race cannot be overstated. Wisconsinite’s must vote Daniel Kelly in order to avoid any of this from happening here in Wisconsin.
Because -on top of being a terribly soft-on-crime judge that releases even hardened felons, child rapists, and murderers back out onto the streets.
On top of being a person who’s lack of character make her unfit for public office.... with all of the alleged drinking, elder abuse, and racist language...
On top of all of that - Protaswiecz has been campaigning for months- promising to be the wrecking ball that destroys 8 great years of conservative, pro-growth, pro-rights, prosperity here.
Why would anyone who isn’t a union stooge vote for that?
The Washington Times has a good column today that says....even control of the u-s house of representatives, in dc, is in play here, for national democrats.
So....they will invest 30 million in trying to get Protaswiecz the racist, abusive, pro-crime Protaswiecz onto our supreme court...so she can rig the maps in favor of democrats before the next election, and try to redraw our congressional maps to create a few more Dem house seats in Wisconsin.
This isn’t a non-partisan race to decide which candidate is the better, more even handed, justice.
It’s the nation’s left-wing political activists trying to bully and buy their way into destroying the GOP’s hold in Madison and tearing down all reforms of the Walker era, if they can.
You must vote in this election.
Early voting is underway. You can stop at your city hall and vote today if you don’t want to do it on election day. But-it is critical you vote and get as many of your like-minded friends and relatives to do so, too.
