So, Aaron Rodgers-has not been-in his sensory deprivation retreat- yet.
We’ve been joking about it, but he wanted to wait until after the Super Bowl and is apparently only entering his darkness therapy...soon.
I’m still unclear on whether this involves ‘drug usage’ too, or whether you are supposed to do this with a clear mind-
But- if the entire point is to clear your mind and ‘think’-I’m assuming it’s ‘drug free’
Around last year currently, Rodgers was talking about using psychedelic drugs to learn more about himself .and sit in his own urine for long stretches of time...
But this seems to be -extreme isolation- without drugs- to ‘self-reflect’. The Wall St Journal finally did a story explaining what this is.
And remember- Aaron Rodgers is a Southern California nut-job- so don’t expect any of this to sound good-to you- or to make much sense-
But-
What this is- essentially- is ‘solitary confinement’ of the sort you’d see in an old prison movie:
Apparently a ‘spiritual guide’ will determine how long a visitor will stay in isolation.
Yeah. ‘Spiritual guide’ is the person who owns the hut and is scamming you out of thousands of dollars while putting you in a closet and feeding you ramen noodles for days. That's who is deciding how long you stay: the guy who is deciding how much of a gullible idiot you are.
Aaron Rodgers?
Worth hundreds of millions? From Southern California, where brain cells are counted in dozens?
35 days. He needs 35 days to find himself. Unless he’ll pay even more to stay for just three.
We may need the dirt cave for Gwyneth Paltrow or one of the Kardashian.
Oh-
And Aaron is following Lizzo....so....my god...wash the yoga matt first....
And apparently, you can ‘tap out’.
The story quotes a guy who says he found the answer he was looking for on day four-and ended his session.
I was wondering the other day-what happens if Aaron Rodgers makes his decision within an hour or two? Does he have to stay locked in for four days?
Apparently, not.
But I’d love to have reporters find out where this closet or cave is- and camp outside for days-waiting for Aaron Rodgers to emerge like a ground hog...or ‘Christ reborn’....
What was the message, Aaron? Aaron, Aaron, Aaron...what was the message? Are you staying or going?
and you know he’s going to emerge...only to jerk us around more...
Can I make that prediction, now?
After all of this nonsense, I predict that Rodgers is going to emerge from hiding this weekend, or next week, and announce!-......that he hasn’t decided yet.
My visions.... told me not to decide.
Vince Lombardi visited me...and told me to stay put...but Max Magee told me to pay for the Decatur Staleys....whoever they are...and so...I can’t decide....
And as much as I joke, it will be good to get an answer, regardless of what it is: i think that most Packers fans are okay with Rodgers either staying, or going, and just want to know what sort of season to look forward to, in fall.
I don’t sense a lot of anxiety, or ‘rending of garments’ over this, by Packers fans. Do you?
I’m with Pete Dougherty of the j/s: the Packers need to move on if they care about championships and rebuilding...because we already know what another season of Aaron Rodgers will look like: there will more winning than losing. Probably enough winning to get us to the playoffs. But not enough winning, or juice, to get us to the Super Bowl.
And no, Jordan Love isn’t going to give that to you, either, in ‘season one’, but at least the rebuilding and the restructuring can start.
To me, this is sort of like living in a run-down building. It’s ‘good enough for now, I guess’, but we got to start making some bigger decisions, here.
If for no other reason than to re-establish who’s running the team, I think Lafleur and Guetty need to make a tough decision here- and stick to it: Rodgers is only going to be around for one final season: either really embrace it or go for it-
Or- trade him and move on- as he tries to ‘pull a Brady’ with another team. Win a Super Bowl the year after being traded.
And that’s not going to happen with the Jets or the Raiders, is it?
Which makes me wonder why Aaron Rodgers would want to go to either of those teams: if those are his options, he may as well stick around.
