Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson blasted his opponent, Democratic Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes, as a "radical extremist" after Barnes tacitly admitted that he supports abortions up until the moment of birth.
Over the weekend, Barnes repeatedly dodged questions from UpFront host Matt Smith over whether he supports abortions up until birth, saying that he believes that a decision on when an abortion can be performed should be left up to the mother and her doctor.
"Obviously if he's going to let the mother and the doctor decide that they can abort a child up until the moment of birth, he supports that," Johnson told "The Dan O'Donnell Show Tuesday. "Democrats in the Senate support that. They voted for a bill allowing unlimited restrictions on abortion up until the moment of birth, and Mandela Barnes would be a rubber stamp for everything that [Senate Majority Leader] Chuck Schumer wants to propose."
