Andrew Cuomo’s political career is cooked

Andrew Cuomo’s political career is cooked. Not only will he not win another term as NY governor, but any presidential aspirations he might have had have all dried up and blown away as the biggest names in his own party have now turned against him.

The ‘pile on’ is underway now: first, it was related to the fact that he hid the number of covid-19 deaths that his policies created in NY nursing homes that caused his fellow democrats to turn on him...

And then came the suspiciously and perfectly timed allegations of sexual harassment. Allegations that he’s not even really denying, by the way.

But it’s serious enough that Cuomo has hired a hot shot criminal defense lawyer, and every democrat atop the party has decided that it is politically impossible to save Andrew Cuomo now.

I said yesterday: Cuomo is more of a traditional liberal. He’s the old school lefty who is in this game for the power and the money and the ways he can enrich himself and empower himself.

Much more in line with the Clintons, or Schumer and Pelosi...than with AOC and Rashida Talib and the socialist progressives who want to push the country into socialism.

Cuomo, as NY governor, has caved to the socialists and done some stupid and radical things- like implementing a ‘no bail’ law that has turned out to be the disaster we knew it would be..

But in general, Cuomo is seen by the younger, more aggressive democrats as an obstacle, and so they all leapt at the chance to take him out.

What’s changed over the last few days is that even the old-school power-broker types have decided that Cuomo is not ‘savable’ and his political career is not salvageable.

Folks-Sunday- both Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi shoved Cuomo off of the party’s bus.

No one in this party- not Hillary, Nancy, Kirsten, or AOC-no one in this party called for an independent or DOJ investigation into the more serious accusations leveled against Joe Biden.

And now he? As a man who was credibly accused of doing something far worse than Cuomo has been accused of-

Folks-Joe Biden was credibly accused of a serious sexual assault-

Now he? Thru a spokesperson? Gets to say, yes, yes, believe the women...

What a scumbag.

But- Cuomo is toast. Even his long time, traditional liberal powerbroker friends are abandoning him.

Al Franken wouldn’t even ‘take a lunch’ with Andrew Cuomo right now.
