Thousands of WI residents still haven't seen any unemployment benefits

via Sierra Trojan, FOX 11 News

ASHWAUBENON (WLUK) -- Wisconsin's unemployment level is at a rate the state hasn't seen in almost 100 years. One out of every seven people in the workforce have filed for benefits, according to the state.

Trying to contact the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development has proved to be difficult for many people FOX 11 has spoken to. The agency says to fix the back-log, it's trying to hire more people.

Some texts:

My sister is trying to pay for college and hasn't gotten a single unemployment check in over a month. They keep saying they are processing it.

Jay, if these republican changes really were the problem, hiring more people now WOULD NOT SOLVE ANYTHING. This is all on Evers

Maybe he's waiting to follow Cuomo's lead again

Hi Jay !!!! And where are the Republicans to beat the hell out of this ? NOTHING, CRICKETS chirping. Beat this to death. Tiger Union Grove
