- The footage was actually from Knob Creek Gun Range in West Point, Kentucky and was shot in 2017 during its bi-annual machine gun shoot and military gun show. The range also hosts sport shooting competitions.
- Employee Chad Sumner told station WDRB, "It's like free advertising for us." He also said that someone cropped out the crowed of people in the original footage.
