Joe Biden is the 2020 Democratic frontrunner.
He has the support of less than 25% of his party.
In other words, about 75% of Democrats either don't want Joe Biden as president, or they don't care.
This is not a problem that is going to go away.
There are 27 Democrats running for president, and not a single one of them has anywhere near the support of even half of their party.
There's a chance that the eventual Democratic nominee will also not have the support of half of the party.
So how little support is acceptable? Is 40% too low? What about 33%?
Democrats will pick their nominee in Milwaukee next summer. A lot of Democrats will not be happy with the choice. So what's the rest of America to think if the person asked to take-on Donald Trump can't even get the backing of the party that has sworn to un-elect the president? Maybe that President Trump is more popular than Democrats want to admit.
