The irony here is too much.
Brian Stelter at CNN says Fox News programs its day around the president, and says without Fox President Trump would not be president.
As if Fox news is the problem.

Through countless interviews with sources at various levels of power inside Fox, Stelter reveals how the wildly popular cable channel has subordinated journalistic integrity to President Trump’s political interests, while setting the broader daily agenda for his administration. “Every day’s a new episode,” Stelter told Mother Jones Editor-in-Chief Clara Jeffery during a recent livestream hosted by the Commonwealth Club of San Francisco. “Certainly Fox programs his presidency that way.”
Stelter argues there is no Trump without Fox. Trump entered the national political arena via a weekly call-in segment on Fox & Friends, during which he pioneered the racist birther lie; he regularly regurgitates talking points from Fox News’ The Five; he is emboldened by—and wed to—positive coverage from anchors like Sean Hannity, Jeanine Pirro, and Tucker Carlson, whose shows reach millions every night; and Hannity is a close adviser who even stumped for the president at a rally in Missouri.
“We don’t feel we have power to fact-check Trump,” Stelter recounted being told by one Fox journalist. “We feel like we’re being squeezed out by propaganda.”
Has this guy watched his own channel?
There is no fact checking. For four years there has been nothing but baseless attack after baseless attack. There have been countless hours dedicated to the ever-changing conspiracy theories. Remember that Russian prostitute tape? What about Q-Anon? And of course, CNN rams with the Russia collusion story for ever.
Does the president like Fox News? Yes. Does he get star treatment there? Yup. But would CNN have turned down opportunities to talk with, or talk to President Obama? CNN would love to have a President Hillary Clinton call their shows like Trump call Fox.
Furthermore, it is beyond rich to say there wouldn’t be a President Trump without Fox News. There wouldn’t be a President Trump without CNN! The network has lived-up to the president’s claim of fake news. CNN’s plummeting viewership is proof of that.
It is CNN that programs its day around President Trump. Every story that airs, from shootings to fires to weather coverage all comes back to the president in one way or another. And then there is Don Lemon and Anderson Cooper.
Stelter is trying to gas light America. Fox News is simply their boogeyman.
If Brian Stelter wants to talk about the Dangerous Distortion of Truth in this country, all he needs to do is watch his own network.
