Dave Chappelle is telling some important jokes.

Comedy in 2019 is often not funny.

Think about the clunky episodes of SNL last year. (It will only get worse this year.)

The Simpsons, The Daily Show, late night talk shows have all become more about political virtue signaling than any kind of comedy.

That's why Dave Chappelle's new special 'Sticks and Stones' is important.

Chappelle doesn't spare anyone. His jokes skewer whites, blacks, Asians, gays, straights, drug addicts, and the victims of Michael Jackson's alleged sexual abuse.

The jokes about the last group has #CancelCulture in full effect.

But Chappelle should be applauded for having the guts to tell these jokes. In 2019, when everything from chicken sandwiches to basketball shoes is about politics, it's nice to see someone who can still make comedy about being funny.
