Stop normalizing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

If you saw a young woman in Times Square with a sign that read "Ban Cow Farts Now. The world is ending" you wouldn't stop and debate her.

You'd simply chuckle, maybe take a picture for Facebook, and move on.

So why are Republicans and conservatives so obsessed with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

She too wants too ban cow farts (along with airplanes, your house, and most forms of energy). But she is taken seriously.

There is a danger in paying so much attention to the young congresswoman from New York: It normalizes her.

Fox News has something on or from AOC nearly each day. She is the new face of the Democratic Party.

And while Fox and a lot of conservatives at home think they are pointing out her crazy ideas and do-as-I-say, not-as-I-do mentality, they are really connecting her with an audience.

The constant attention is making her seem as if she is engaging in a legitimate debate, with legitimate ideas, and legitimate policies.

They say there is no such thing as bad press, AOC seems to be proving them right.
