"When it comes to violent criminals in prison, I want to keep them in for their full terms," Gov Walker said at the news conference at the Milwaukee Police Association headquarters. "Many of my opponents — many of the Democrats running for governor — want to let them out. And want to let them out early."
He called Democrats' prison proposals "dangerous."
Open bias at the Journal Sentinel: Gov Walker brings up a legit and defining topic in the governor's race, prison reform, and the J/S kicks it to the side and does a hit piece on Walker instead. Pathetic. Here's the link here > Governor Scott Walker sees "no value" visiting the Wisconsin prisons
.@journalsentinel @patrickdmarley Now that you've done your 15th hatchet job on Walker and prisons, Will you write a story on how he is right on the dems false prison reform?— Jay Weber (@JayWeber3) August 8, 2018
how 67% are violent?
how 90% are in for serious crimes?
how the drug criminals are dealers, not users?
He shouldn't. Your paper did a hatchet job story instead of highlighting a very real issue in the campaign. The dems 'prison reform' is a 12,000 prisoner release. 7 in 10 are violent. 9 in 10 in for serious felony crimes. Only 1 in 10 in for drugs, & they are dealers, not users. https://t.co/x7qHBWpWr7— Jay Weber (@JayWeber3) August 8, 2018
