I don’t think the calls by congress to force the Epstein files to be released are ultimately going to go anywhere-
But I’ve got to admit that I’d love to see it.
I am giggling at the prospect of democrats thinking they’ve finally got a way to ‘get Trump’ or spin a scandal...and thinking it’d be smart to force the release of the FBI files.
Please do.
Please do. Because we already know that it’s virtually all democrats and powerful liberals who are named by Epstein’s young accusers.
Folks-in their zeal to ‘finally have a new scandal’ they think they can use on trump...these dopey young democrats who are calling for all of the files to be released...are marching some of their own party members to the gallows and are marching toward a whole new scandal for their party!
I’d love to see it.
Listen to screeching socialist Pyimla Jayapal...who was on MSNBC saying ...Biden and Merrick garland should have released the Epstein file years ago...and trump should release it now...but...suddenly wants to cover it up.
So that’s an example of how most democrats are now trying to use this-
And apparently-their strategists have decided this is smart to try to drive a wedge between Trump and his supporters.... But...it’s not: because nearly all of the pervs named in those files are democrats and democrat donors, clearly.
So- I’m with Jayapal and every other democrat in dc who wants to release the Epstein files and have Maxwell come before congress to ‘name the pervs’ ...if you will.
Because dems will be shocked at how little the fallout affects ‘Trump’ and the GOP.Trust me.
It’s why i don’t understand how President Trump and Pam Bondi could have botched the messaging this badly over the last two weeks.
I started the show by saying....
I’m starting to conclude that this really has been mostly a conspiracy theory all along: at least this notion that there was a client list of pedophiles...or a cache of video tapes of famous men having sex with underaged girls that Epstein was then using to bribe powerful men...etc.
After all- it got less publicity- but in the month or so before this latest eruption over pam Bondi’s flip flop occurred- Kash Patel and Dan Bongino were going around, doing interviews, saying.... now that we’ve seen what the government has...Epstein hung himself...and there is no scandal here.
Remember?
It was an embarrassing admission from them- but now that they’d seen the files. Well? They feel foolish for having pushed the conspiracy theory for so long. That much is evident.
And it was stupid for Bondi to claim first that she had the Epstein list on her desk-and then claimed there is no Epstein list’.... but...instead...there’s a file of legal depositions given by Epstein’s young accusers...and some of those women identify or implicate famous men who perved on them.
But there is no actual list. And no sex tapes.
Greg- give me cut one of Alan Dershowitz again- who both acted as Epstein’s lawyer when he was initially arrested twenty years ago and let off easy...and...
Was falsely accused as a sexual abuser by a faulty witness before he was cleared.
Dershowitz is doing interviews saying, “I’ve seen all of the material the federal government has...and there’s no list and no tapes.
Dershowitz also says: all the powerful people whose names appear in the files...that these trafficked women are accusing... It has already been outed publicly over the years.
Which means trump’s not on it. Dershowitz says some are still alive-some are dead. But any politicians named aren’t serving anymore.
Dershowitz is practically saying: it’s Clinton and gates and prince Andrew and the names you’d think would be in there...but no trump. No shockers.
Still- I am all in favor of greater transparency and releasing the files. I actually-hope-that Jayapal and Ro Khanna and Hakeem Jefferies and the dems who are trying to organize and force a vote in the house- prevail.
I hope that nearly every republican congressman joins them: yes, lets force the Epstein files public.
Because i want to see those exact same democrats then scramble around and try to explain why anyone notable seems to be a democrat or one of their billionaire donors.
That’d be fun.
What’s not included in any of the democrat’s thought pattern is: what if the files out only famous democrats?
Do you really understand what you might be asking for, here?
Because I don’t think they do.
There’s a small handful of men who are begging Trump’s team to release the files because-over the years- they have been accused of being in them-and know they’re not.... Like actor Kevin Spacey.
But- Alan Dershowitz is making it about as clear as he can without breaking the gag order he’s under the files have names of famous democrats and liberals named in it- some alive, some dead. None of them are in the office any longer.
So- yeah-lets ‘out’ ‘me...and have their own party do it as part of some idiotic move that they think harms Trump.
“Here's what one person who's watch this closely said to me,” says Mark Halperin about the Jeffrey Epstein case. “If you take Trump out of the equation and you look at all the other prominent men whose names have been raised, they're almost all Democrats … These Democrats who are now calling for a release of the lists may be creating problems for a lot of Democrats and far fewer Republicans.”
