The result of far-left rhetoric was sadly predictable

Jay Weber Show transcript 6-16-25

The political assassinations in Minnesota were scary, but not surprising considering where today’s left has ‘pushed’ the line on political rhetoric and political violence-

And no- both sides ‘do not’ share equally in the blame in this regard. I reject that completely.

In Minnesota-their dopey governor- Tim Walz, has been comparing Trump to Hitler and these ice raids to the Gestapo.

It’s also the home of the horrid and nasty Ilhan Omar, one of the members of the squad who has engaged in antisemitism and ramped up the talk of ‘protest’ and ‘violence’ on the left.

Since Trump got back into office, we’ve seen everyone from Hakeem Jefferies and Chuck Schumer...to Liz Warren...to more state and local democrats urging their grassroots to ‘fight’. Fight. We got to fight...etc.

Is it surprising that their amped up rhetoric and activism is spinning off more and more kooks like the ones who tried to kill trump, burn Josh Shapiro’s family in their sleep, now kill a Minnesota lawmaker and nearly kill another one?

This suspect, 57-year-old Vance Boelter is a lifelong democrat operative on Minnesota and was even a political appointee of gov Tim Walz’s. They’ve both been in the same socialist leaning ‘farm labor party’ for years.

And it sounds like this guy wanted to go after democrats who he didn’t think were ‘pure enough’ or ‘left wing enough’...including eleven here in Wisconsin.

Law enforcers found a manifesto in his car, and it included a list of democrats that Boelter thought should be targeted...and according to the j/s...at least eleven Wisconsin democrats were on the list.

Authorities won’t release the list publicly, but there were eight women and three men.

Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Washington dc all said the ‘right things’ afterward.

Remember, WI democrats were all gathered at their state convention this weekend...in the Dells.I’m guessing these shootings put a damper on things...and have both the Evers administration and the leaders of the legislature taking steps to add security and take extra precautions in Madison...and to protect our lawmakers, here.

This monster killed a Minnesota state rep. Named Melissa Hortman...who was known to be a democrat who worked across the aisle.

He also shot and killed her husband.... then tried to kill a state senator named John Hoffman and his wife. Both survived.

We don’t know precisely what caused this guy to snap...but law enforcement said he left a manifesto. They just won’t release it to the public.

The other part of this is- there was no way for democrats to -not admit-that this was another left-wing kook that has turned to violence...and not some ‘Trump supporter’ or ‘Trump lover’.

In the very first moments of the story breaking...a few of them tried...including Chuck Schumer, initially, but then they quickly backed off when it was learned who the suspect was-

And who he attacked.

This was ‘left on the left violence’...again. Just as we saw with the attack on Josh Shapiro.

Both seem to be situations in which the most radical voices on today’s left appear to be cranking up the kooks and extremists into believing that the democrat party needs to be ‘purified’ and ‘cleared’ of all of the remaining moderate, reasonable, or more traditional liberals.

And it’s not a surprise-given the heavy radicalization we’ve seen within this party-over such a short period of time.

Folks, if Hillary Clinton was a very traditional liberal democrat and barrack Obama was only slightly more ‘progressive’ than her.... well....

The leaders and loudest voices of today’s democrat party are socialist progressives...and I keep pointing this out to you: one of the two major political parties in this country-has been taken over by America-hating radicals and mouthpieces.

Is it all that shocking that more and more of their kook fringe seem to be moving to try to purify the party and its leftist cause?

A few democrats, like Hakeem Jefferies and Jamie Raskin and Chuck Schumer, keep trying to point the finger at Trump’s. Quote...abrasive style of politics.... claiming it’s spurring the extremists to action...

But...every violent incident and assassination attempt of the past two years has been left-wing assailants targeting republicans...and now...some of their fellow democrats.

New jersey senator and pretend Obama, Corey booker, immediately tried to make it about trump, too. Didn’t wait for the facts.

Hakeem Jefferies also leapt to point fingers...and in his video statement...seemed completely unaware that he was really talking about himself. And his rhetoric of the last 3 months. Not Trumps.

   (play it)

What. A hypocrite.

You can’t blame this on trump. But you-can-blame it on the escalating, hair on fire, always alarmist rhetoric and scare tactics of today’s left.

We get that they don’t like trump. We understand they find his moves ‘alarming’. But it hasn’t been Trump that is escalating the rhetoric about ‘fighting’...and ‘saving democracy’...and ‘constitutional crisis’.

That has-all been- on the left. They only have themselves-and how they have chosen to react to two trump victories- to blame for this.

This Minnesota assemblywoman who was slain-Melissa Hortman had just voted to approve a new budget that blocks govt-run health care programs from going illegal...and you could tell in the interviews she did about it, afterward, that she was shaken and worried about retaliation.

If you don’t know: the Minnesota legislature is split down the middle. It’s been a stalemate for years- that has included lawsuits and court cases over which side is in charge. It’s been very contentious....and has resulted in quote...sharing governance...in which.... if anything is going to get done...at least one or two members of each party must ‘cross over’ and vote along with the other side...

And last week- Hortman was the one democrat in the Minnesota house. The only one. To vote in favor of ending taxpayer funded health care coverage for illegals in that state.

And she did so-as Governor Tim Walz was blasting the move by republicans to end it- as awful, terrible, genocide. It’s going to kill people.

Walz’s rhetoric could not have been more over the top and alarmist.  And now the clown is calling for a tempering down of tempers...and rhetoric.

But he bears some of the responsibility for how militant the political language has become in Minnesota over the last six months. No denying it.

Moreover, it was one of his political appointees who snapped. Let’s not pretend there’s zero connection here.
