It’s going to be this weekend’s drama: will Joe and Jill Biden be convinced to drop out of the presidential race?
Yesterday’s rumors were flying hot and heavy-touched off by an Axios report that claimed ‘insiders’ close to Biden were saying -it’s going to happen. It’s only a matter of ‘when’, not ‘if’.
That really stoked the rumor mill-and the rest of the day was fueled with insider claims, rumors, and reports that...
In addition to all three major congressional figures having directly appealed to Joe Biden to resign- Barrack Obama was ‘back on the case’-trying to get his ‘good buddy’ Joe to end his campaign.
Folks, I hope barrack Obama has gotten directly involved here, because the truth is, the Biden’s hate the Obamas and vice versa. Remember-David Axelrod and others have admitted publicly that- the Biden’s blame both the Clintons and the bides for ‘talking Joe out of running’ earlier. Making room for Hillary. Barrack tried to keep him from running again in 2020.Jill and kamala are oil and water.... etc.
The ‘true insiders’ take on Obama is that-the harder he insists on pushing joe out the door, the more the Bidens will dig in against it, just out of spite-
And so- I hope! - Obama is directly appealing to joe, and/or has his minions whispering in Biden’s ear. That’s going to be the thing that will have the Bidens determined to ‘burn the whole party down’ rather than acquiesce, here.
No one really denies this is going on, and any claims otherwise amount to different ‘subtleties’ in the argument-
As in: Barrack Obama hasn’t directly talked to Joe yet. That’s false. But he’s got his friends doing it.
Or- Schumer and Pelosi are leaving the decision up to joe. They haven’t demanded he drop out.... only told the president to ‘please do a serious review of the polling data’...etc.
Okay, but no one’s denying a new ‘best effort’ to shove Biden aside is underway...and if the Bidens are -ever-going to break...it could occur this weekend.
But we’ve had these ‘false flags’ and this ‘wishful thinking’ by left wing media members for weeks. In fact, after the entire day was chewed up with these new rumors that Biden was going to drop out ‘any day now’.... around 2pm eastern time...a spokesman for the Biden campaign angrily said: don’t believe any of this. Making up rumors is not ‘news’. Biden has not said he’d consider resigning.
Here’s the thing....in politics...just as in ‘sports’.... even categorical denials often mean nothing because...
Just like an NFL team will angrily deny that – this rumor is false. We are not trading Tom Brady...
And then...hours later they do....and its clear they had no problem boldly lying to the public...because...hey, there won’t be any consequences...
Politics is the same way: categorical denials of...dammit...Joe Biden is the nominee. He’s not going anywhere...
Can quickly become.... Biden’s dropping out.
The blanket denials mean nothing-especially coming from this white house.
But this is also true: Joe and Jill Biden are now-really-on an island unto themselves-as even some of joe’s most ardent public defenders have now turned on him and given up the game.
You probably saw that even Joe and Mika-the stars of the horrid MSNBC show that President Biden watches religiously every morning-
And who have been protecting joe Biden and lying to America about his years of cognitive decline-
Joe Scarborough is the man who said-just three weeks ago during the fake ‘cheap fake’ video scandal that ...by got. This is the best version of Joe Biden we’ve ever seen. He’s fine. We talk to him all the time
Three weeks ago- Scarborough was still lying for him. Yesterday-the ‘take was’- Biden’s closest advisors are lying to him to keep him in this race.
Scarborough went on to blame the staffers who are out of a job if the Biden team is done in January
Well...Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have been among that circle of people who have been lying to joe, right?
Their job over the last several years has apparently been to gaslight Biden every morning on how great he’s doing. He’s a historical and consequential president. Etc.
So-they look like the slippery idiots that they are, today, but the bottom line is the Bidens have even lost ‘Morning Joe’.
But they have hit the point at which-having Joe Biden atop the ticket isn’t sustainable.
Polling numbers are starting to plummet in the swing states. Donations have dried up. Most democrats now, genuinely see ‘no path forward’ for Joe.... or for their congressional majorities...if Joe remains atop the ticket.
This is a ‘he’s got to go’ moment now...not a....maybe we can still win with him...moment.
Chuck Schumer’s team is essentially willing to cop to: it was a conversation about trying to get those around Biden to ‘walk him thru the data to prove how bad this is’...
But again-the people who would be ‘walking Biden thru the data’ are the same members of his campaign and white house inner circle who have obviously been lying to him and only showing him data that suggests he can still win this.
Remember the story about a week and a half ago -from either the NY Times or the wash post- that detailed how Biden’s staffers and cabinet members are afraid to share bad news with him?
The small core of people around him will literally tell the support staff: don’t show him that. It’ll only make him angry. Show him this, he’ll like that.
And so, we don’t have a president who is fully informed...even if Joe Biden ‘is’ the one still making most of the final decisions for the country.
Instead, we have a president who has been gaslighting the country for five years-
Himself! - being gas lit- as his core of advisors manipulates him to get the ‘result’ or the ‘call’ that they want out of him on any given issue.
And- so, it would make perfect sense that-now that their jobs and their place in history are ‘on the line’ they have really closed ranks around President Biden and have been scheming to keep their jobs...by lying to him about his chances.
These little tidbits of information and rumors-do-all kind of fall into place, don’t they?
The Biden’s don’t really like the Harris’ either, and haven’t since Kamala demanded, right off the bat, to be a co-president and be in on all the decisions given how old Joe was and in case she needed to take over.
Do people remember this?
It’s incredible how fast all this moves and how quickly we forget: but the reason Kammy was made ‘border czar’ was really because she was really cheezing off the Biden's with demands for a co-presidency.
A 78-year-old joe was expected to be a one-termer, and she kept pushing and pushing to ‘be in the room’ on everything and essentially ‘shadow joe’ in a co-presidency.
That really torqued off the Bidens, especially Jill, given how long the Bidens had waited to win this prize. Now this chick is horning in on our time, our legacy, and our history. And wants to push Biden aside? Virtually on day one?
No.
And so-don’t expect the Bidens to do any favors for Kamala Harris, either. This is still ‘all about them’ from where the Biden’s stand.
And they are just the perfect sort of people to say ‘eff the party and eff the country’...we’re either winning again or burning it all down.
