My friends-in ‘crudely political terms’ - we all know that this attempt to kill Donald Trump will be a galvanizing moment for the country and will likely have all sorts of reluctant voters and first-time voters deciding that-by God-I’m going to be sure to vote this fall, and I’ll be voting for Trump...
I have zero doubt that that will happen. As Frank Luntz put it on ‘X”
In the end, voters will settle down and return to their candidate of choice. The people who move towards trump out of sympathy will probably move back. But what happened in pa will impact the final vote, guaranteeing that every trump voter will vote. And because it happened in Pennsylvania, it could be the thing that flips Pennsylvania to Trump.
Or-as WI insider Bill McCoshen put it:
Low propensity voters and new voters will turn out at record levels in November to vote for trump. He has an opportunity to convince them to give him large majorities in the us senate and congress to enact his agenda
I agree with this. Believe it or not, months from now, even this assassination attempt will be forgotten by most voters. It’s amazing how much is ‘forgotten’ and ‘how quickly’ by most American voters-
But- but it will ensure every Trump voter votes....as all sorts of voters tepid on Biden stay home.
Meanwhile-the frantic democrat effort to shove Joe Biden off the ticket has come to a standstill-following the assassination attempt.
NBC says that large numbers of democrats told them after the assassination attempt that it will stop any efforts to shove Biden out-for the moment. Momentum that was building Friday and early Saturday- has been lost with this chance of events.
It sounds like it was a mad scramble within the Biden campaign which makes you ask yourself: why would Biden’s team be so panicked about continuing to run campaign ads?
One answer is: because nearly all their campaign ads are negative ads that attack trump. Right?
So-that’s the more obvious ‘first part’.
But the second part of the answer is: so many of the ads that attack trump are so nasty and extreme that -they! - their content! - helped lead to someone trying to kill trump. Right?
And i don’t mean literally. We cannot know what pushed this shooter over the edge-
But we do know ‘generically’ that Biden’s rhetoric and the left’s nasty ads have been pushing the strong narrative that Donald Trump is a threat to this country. Here’s some footage of Nazi’s marching. It’s 1933 again, in America, etc.
The Biden team was in a mad scramble to pull their ads because-so many of their ads ‘created’ and ‘are meant to nurture and promote-this idea that Donald Trump is a danger to democracy and that he-cannot-cannot- be president again, at any cost.
And so-the effort to shove Biden off of the ticket has also been -at least temporarily suspended, as the democrats focus all of their efforts in covering up and spinning the fact that their angry, insane, over-the-top rhetoric of the last two years led to an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate for the first time in nearly 50 years.
They’re going to be trying to spin their way out of that ‘simple truth’ all week.
But-you might have heard that as many as 20 or 22 sitting democrat congressmen had publicly come out and called on Biden to withdraw from the campaign.
And politico is saying that there are far more democrats behind the scenes who want Biden replaced....and they’re all growing frustrated at Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jefferies, and Nancy Pelosi for agreeing with them privately, but not being willing to say it publicly.
Biden is helping to tank the top of the ticket. Loads of careful, internal polling is being done. The dem insiders know the ‘lay of the land’, and they have never been more certain-since the debate-that they are headed toward an electoral wipeout if Biden doesn’t relent.
And he simply refuses to relent.
Joe Biden’s age and mental infirmity isn’t the biggest problem they have in this campaign.
The dems biggest problem is-their policies. Seven in ten voters say the country is on the wrong track. Roughly the same number hate the way joe Biden has opened our borders. Six in ten say they hate the way Biden bleeped up our economy and destroyed their personal financial situations.
Congressman Byron Donalds was on Laura Ingraham’s show Friday evening and did exactly what republicans in congress need to do-every time-they are asked about Biden’s age and dementia-
Make the point that he’s not going to be doing his job for another four years, regardless, but also remind everyone that ‘its’ the democrat’s extreme agenda’ that has led to our problems. Not Biden’s age.
Donalds is correct. Remember- Joe Biden was losing this race even before his bad debate. And he was, because he turned his administration over to America-hating socialists -and has agreed to go along with their crippling, foolish policies for four years.
Remember-Biden was losing in may-and had trialed in the polls for many months-which is why he and his team took a gamble and had Biden challenge trump to the debates, in the first place.
The debate was meant to change the trajectory of the race. It didn’t.
If anything, it only made matters worse for Biden- and now has the entire country ‘more fully understanding’ that this man is too old and mentally infirmed to do the job.
Major backfire.
But Biden was losing before the debate-based on the last three and a half years of his presidency.
His presidency has been one policy disaster after another. After another.
Other than abortion-name an issue-and Biden is 20 to 30 points ‘under water’ on it, because Americans hate his policies. Economy, inflation, crime, the border, illegal alien-produced crime, energy prices, foreign policy.
Therefore, Biden is losing the race: as I’ve said before-if Biden had been a great president, we, the people, would be embracing the dementia: whatever...let’s keep it going’ joe...
However-or who-ever-is arriving at these great decisions…. let’s keep it going’...voters would be saying.
Biden and the Dems-policies-have been devastating, which is why we need ‘democrats’ out of power and away from the decision-making process.
Not just Joe Biden. All democrats. Helped bleep up this country over the last four years. They need to be swept out of control.
