I did a segment earlier about how David Weiss’s appointment as a special investigator in the hunter Biden case- makes zero sense- unless he’s there to continue stonewalling and protecting the Bidens.
It’s that simple.
We have a mountain of evidence that he slowed and stonewalled on a-five year- tax evasion investigation on Hunter Biden that should have been wrapped up a lot sooner and should have resulted in felony charges.
Every American voter needs to understand how shockingly corrupt this move was-even for Washington DC.
Merrick Garland appointed the guy who gave Hunter Biden a complete pass- to be the ‘special investigator’ in charge of the investigation to root out the Biden’s criminality.
David Weiss is the guy who slow-walked Hunter Biden’s investigation for five years-until the statute of limitations ran out on the worst of hunter’s crimes-and everyone knows it.
And that’s why even seasoned dc veterans were blown away by this move, Friday. This shocked every east coast insider.
And it did-in part- because it acts as an admission of Joe Biden’s guilt-and verifies that -yes, this is a corrupt family. And since i have heard no one else make this point-I’ll expand on it.
I was struck on Friday by how-even on the left side of the aisle and among the left-wing pundits- we saw shock and surprise at Merrick Garland’s move-
And for a few hours-
For about half a day- before these Biden defenders and their media accomplices could get their political feet back under them-
For about half a day on Friday-even the leftists were openly criticizing this move.
We’ll see this, occasionally: the dems and their accomplices being caught off-guard and- mistakenly telling the truth or having an honest reaction- before their party strategists can figure out how they want everyone to react to this-as a group.
On Friday I saw all sorts of panelists and pundits on CNN, MSNBC, on the network panels, in print and on social media- shocked that garland would name David Weiss as special investigator.
Because they all knew what it meant. I believe this was the moment that it dawned on all those leftists who still believed that the Biden’s were innocent of any criminal business schemes- oh...they are criminals.
Do you get what I’m saying?
There’s often a moment in which people who don’t want to believe something.... understand it’s true. Something clicks.
I didn’t want to believe grandpa was a killed. But when they found the bones under his house.... well...
I really believe that this move Friday was -so scummy-and so overtly dirty- that it pushed all sorts of loyal democrats and mouthpieces to quietly hit that moment.
It might have even come to them-while they were on set: if garland’s doing something this scummy then...ooh.... then all this stuff about the bides-is-true. oooh.
Now they understand that-oooh...the Biden’s are this criminal. They are this corrupt. They -would- go this far to cover up their crimes.
Because republicans and good-govt types have been calling for Merrick Garland to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the Bidens for years-but he’s refused to do it.
And then-when he does- he picks a guy-within his own DOJ who he can control-not an independent investigator-
And-he picks the guy who has been running an operation to protect the Bidens from the truth getting out-for five years?
Come on.
This was a bridge too far-even for loyal democrats and liberals-who aren’t gullible idiots.
Merrick Garland made himself look like a lying ass in a few ways on Friday- but one of the biggest was in how- for five years- he’s been pretending that David Weiss had all the powers of a special investigator already.
Garland and Weiss both said repeatedly-during the five-year Hunter charade, that Weiss had the ultimate authority to bring any charges against hunter that he wanted-and in any jurisdiction that he wanted-
And then we learned that Garland had blocked him from bringing charges against hunter for crimes he committed in LA and DC.
This moves also-in a big way-pushes republicans toward impeachment.
Why?
Because it’s going to take the powers of an impeachment inquiry to get most of the documents that James Comer and Jim Jordan want out of the Biden Dept. of Justice, now.
For five years or more-David Weiss and Merrick Garland have been working to-cover up-Biden family corruption and criminality-not root it out.
Folks- what Merrick Garland’s move on Friday has done-is allow all of this-
All this Biden family criminality and everything related to it- to be pushed off until after the 2024 election.
You know how these alleged special investigations work: they grind on for years and years and years...and by the time the American people get any answers...it’s years later when those answers no longer matter.
Moreover-no one ever gets punished-
And worst of all-
The DC insiders and the Dept of Justice adhere to a rule that the federal law enforcement agencies won’t reveal any information or issue any charges that could affect a politician quote ‘nearing an election’...
Which means that even if-by some miracle- David Weiss would want to charge Hunter and/or Joe with something next summer or fall....oops...
We got to hold off on that until-after-the election has been decided.
Remember how routinely the democrats use that canard when it works to their advantage. They’ll smear trump with new charges right up to election day...but if the hunter case could affect Joe’s bid? Of. No, no... we got to wait on that until after November fourth...
