Joe Biden isn’t the next FDR. He's the next Jimmy Carter.

The President and the White House had to spend a fourth day insisting that Biden’s overly-generous spending isn’t what’s keeping people from going back to work-when everyone with a brain knows it is.

In that final covid-19 relief package, which the democrats rammed thru without a single republican vote, by the way- they included an unnecessary extension of larger unemployment benefits thru September. It was an idiotic move that was bound to harm the economic recovery, and some of us on the right said so at the time.

Now, this has come to pass: about 8-million Americans who were in the workforce, pre-covid-19, still aren’t going back to work-even though a lot of their old bosses want them back, and even though there are now 8-million vacant jobs in America.

We all know what the disincentives for work are-and the biggest one is: i don’t have to, because government is paying me as much-or more- to stay home.

And so, for a fourth day, President Biden and his minions sounded like idiots when they said ridiculous things like this:

"I know there's been a lot of discussion since Friday's report that people are being paid to stay home rather than go to work. Well, we don't see much evidence of that."

If you could understand that thru all of the stumbling and bumbling, Biden and his team said they don’t believe this generous unemployment check is keeping people out of the work force.

You have the governor of South Carolina doing something similar. I believe more red state governors will follow suit on the Montana governor’s move to end the enhanced food stamp and unemployment benefits that he can in his state-

I don’t believe that the governors can kill off that extra 300 dollar a week enhancer- but they do have control of some other welfare and food stamp enhancements and restrictions.

Other governors and legislatures are bound to follow suit, as Biden and his team look more and more ridiculous in trying to deny the obvious: that there is too much ‘free’ government money out there-and it is screwing up the labor picture.

Everyone knows it’s going on, and the business channels and more honest media outlets have been talking to business owners and restaurant managers for weeks- saying this is the case.

The activist’s response to this has been one that both Biden and Psaki adopted yesterday: if they can’t find workers, they need to just pay more.

That’s an idiotic response, too. First of all-these businesses all have slim margins in which their businesses are no longer profitable if they pay wages they cannot afford...

And second- these heartless activists and Biden team members are talking about businesses that have been closed down entirely, or have been running at 25 or 50 percent capacity over the last 14 months. They haven’t been making their bills for over a year- you dill-weeds. Now you think they can just afford to raise worker wages?

It’s got to be great to be a liberal and have all of the answers ...because you don’t have to worry about facts and reality and profit margins.

Every liberal is a genius because their brains aren’t cluttered with things they need to know before spouting off.

Have you noticed that?

Especially when it comes to business and the economy. None of them seem to know a thing about basic economics, or how a business model works. And it frees them up to say stupid and insulting crap like....telling a business owner who has been closed for a year...you just need to jack up your pay to get people back to work.

Biden and Psaki actually both floated that as a possible solution yesterday.

And by the way- offering an extra buck or two an hour isn’t going to get these people back to work, either.

If you average out the unemployment wage between the states....people getting those checks are making the equivalent of a 35-thousand dollar a year wage.

Well- the hourly wage for a 35-thousand dollar a year existence is about 17-dollars and-50 cents.

In other words, no one hanging out on unemployment now is being lured back by 17.50 an hour. If employers make that 19.50...will most of them go back to work?

To make two dollars an hour?

No. Of course not.

There is no logic in the democrat’s argument. There never is.

It’s all excuse making for their screw ups.

Folks- right now-the federal government is offering about 17 dollars an hour-not- to work.

What restaurant, bar, warehouse, or big box store can compete with that?

I forget which big box store said they were going to start paying 15 dollars an hour in order to try to get workers...but they’re still two-dollars-an hour short of matching unemployment with that wage, in most states.

Biden’s radicalism isn’t turning him into the next FDR, it’s turning him into the next Jimmy Carter. Carter’s economic policies were so awful and backward that they led to stagflation and 14 percent interest rates, runaway inflation and energy shortages.

For those who don’t remember the Carter era or never learned about it...carter was also going to be the next FDR and his policies led to all sorts of unnecessary miseries to be visited upon America.

As an added kicker- he was so god-awful at managing our foreign affairs that any global credibility, strength, and resolve that past presidents had built up since world war two on the international stage...he frittered away.

This is another way Biden can be likened to carter: after trump got our foreign policy back on track after 8 years of Obama....Biden seems determined to screw it all up again and make America the globe’s doormat, again.

As Liz Peek of Fox News puts it: Friday’s jobs report has all sorts of people wondering if Biden’s going to return us to the Carter years:

Liz Peek: Biden's Jimmy Carter connection – here, already, is where their policies are alarmingly similar

Peek goes on to detail how Biden ran as a uniter and is instead, dividing the country. He has failed to sell Americans on taking the vaccines that trump developed and left for him...

His regime has muddled the messages on the safety of the vaccines and on mask wearing and on when we can get back to normal.

His policies are leading to price hikes and inflation that the eggheads insist is temporary-but it’s probably not: when is the last time you remember prices at the grocery store or on appliances going down?

Anyone?

And -like carter- as Biden is ruining an economy that is poised to boom he’s insulting his fellow Americans as he does it. Calling them Neanderthals, and racists....just like carter used to lecture Americans on being selfish and piggish consumers....

Folks-four months into the Biden era-he’s got a lot more in common with carter-than with FDR.

There’s a piece on politico this week that attempts to explain why Biden and the democrats have stopped worrying about spending and are, instead, gleefully pushing for a major expansion of government...

And their contention is, basically, that half of the voting electorate is now too young to remember the Carter and Reagan years: the years that-proved- less government, less regulation and lower taxes were the way America thrives.

The cure is still the same: get Republicans back in charge for a stretch of time and reinvent the Reagan era-which is what trump was trying to do. And it was working and it’s why he got 74-million votes for his re-election bid-more than any candidate ever had earned. But-somehow - we are supposed to believe- Joe Biden- got more.
