I’m glad to see Oconomowoc rep. Barbara Dittrich and the WI republicans in Madison pushing back on Joe Biden’s recent order to demand men and boys need to be welcomed into women’s sports...if they say they feel like women.
Wisconsin isn’t the first state to pass a law that specifically protects girls’ sports, but we are among the first. And I’m glad to see it.
Because, unlike other attempts to gain ‘equal rights’ that have been made by the gay, lesbian, and trans community that were more legitimate.
Unlike some instances in the past where they had legitimate grievances that they were being treated differently-
This move to force Trans people into girls’ sports is a move that infringes on other people’s rights. And we shouldn’t have anyone-much less government forcing moves that put one group’s rights or desires- over another groups.
And this is exactly what forcing boys who ‘feel like girls’ into girls’ sports does. It infringes on the rights of the girls to compete fairly and equally and it destroys. Destroys title nine, which was the law that was passed to ensure girls and young women were treated fairly in sports...and had an equal opportunity to participate and compete.
There’s nothing ‘fair’ or ‘equitable’ or ‘enlightening’ about this push on transgender athletes into women’s sports.
And so, a group of Wisconsin republicans wants to pass a state law that protects our girls and young women and their right to compete.
These activist LGBTQ groups know it’s not fair or reasonable to force men and boys into women’s sports. But their blind allegiance to their agenda has them rushing to serve that false premise.
And yes, even if this passes both legislative chambers, Gov. Evers will veto it. His activist handlers put out a tweet yesterday that indicated they are behind the transgendered cheaters 100 percent.
But that doesn’t mean the republicans shouldn’t pass this and put the bill on Gov. Evers’ desk and force him to veto it.
You might be surprised at how many Wisconsin families and voters will find this a defining issue next fall. Governor Evers was the candidate who forced boys into girls’ sports ...and the girl’s locker rooms. See how that plays outside of Madison and pockets of Milwaukee County.
How is it fair to destroy the rights of all other female athletes and give transgendered women-who are really men- a preferential and privileged status?
I’m all for ‘equal rights’ for all Americans. I stand against taking away the rights of entire categories of Americans...and elevating other groups above them...out of some twisted sense of ‘equity’ or fairness.
Yep, it’s not fair that some young people are gender confused and feel like social outcasts. That doesn’t mean it is right to force others to give up their rights and opportunities, in an attempt to make the gender confused feel better about themselves.
It is not the role of every girl in a school or university- to take a back seat to a confused boy or man who wants to feel better about himself.
And Joe Biden’s exec order and these ‘enlightened’ laws that force boys into girls sports and locker rooms are wrongheaded and unfair. To the girls.
As Rep. Dittrich said yesterday: if Governor Evers is truly for women, why would he not sign something like this? It’s wholly unfair for a woman to be competing against a biological male.
And folks-everyone knows it. Even those who have been polluted with this ‘equity’ and ‘fairness’ bullcrap.
Salina Zito recently had a very good article related to this at the Washington Examiner. It starts by talking to a few high school female athletes who have already had their careers and their competitive goals shattered by teenaged boys who came into their programs....claiming they feel like girls.
But your ‘human rights’ cannot infringe on my ‘human rights’. And that’s where these orders and laws forcing Transgender people into Women’s sports go wrong and become nothing more than bullying ‘wokeness’.
So far-at least 25 states have introduced legislation to protect girl’s athletics from this new ‘woke’, bullying, unfairness.
If made into state laws, they would trump Biden’s executive order-but they would be nullified if the democrats can manage to pass the so-called ‘equality act’, which is again a total misnomer.
It is another bill that Republicans will filibuster, thank God, but if democrats ever decide to end the filibuster or gain ten more seats in the senate at some point they’ll still be able to ram it home.
