Assembly Speaker Robin Vos joined The Dan O'Donnell Show to discuss bills proposed for this week's extraordinary session.
"The whole goal here is to make sure that each of the branches [of state government] have an opportunity to negotiate at a table equally," he said, "and that's what we're looking to do."
The legislation has been criticized as a power grab targeting incoming Governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul.
"That's absolutely false," Vos said.
