Wisconsin Way Future Leader of the Year Award: Matt Neumann
When it comes to Matt Neumann, the case can be made that it’s both future and current leadership that makes him a deserving recipient of this award. After an MBA from Marquette, Matt joined his father, Mark Neumann, in an enterprise that combines effective land management with efficient renewable energy strategies and systems. Neumann Companies now build homes that are compliant to Energy Star and Green Built standards, and their services are in significant demand; on average, Neumann Companies builds 150 homes in eight different counties each year. Matt, Mark, and their company are recognized as the leaders in the green building and conservation development industry in Wisconsin. And, amazingly enough, they have perfected green energy production systems to the point where they have built Wisconsin’s first Energy Producing Home. Matt Neumann and his wife Amy have three kids, are active in their church, and remain committed to Southeastern Wisconsin.
