Wisconsin Way CEO of the Year Award: Gale Klappa
Gale Klappa is Chairman and CEO of the WEC Energy Group, which is the parent company of WE Energies. The WEC Energy Group is considered to be one of America’s premier energy companies, serving 4.5-million customers in four states. Mr. Klappa has spent 40 years working in the publsic utility industry, with nearly a quarter century of senior executive experience. Mr. Klappa’s involvement in the Metro Milwaukee business community is robust; he sits on two boards-of-directors, is the co-chair of the Milwaukee-7, and is the vice-chair of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce. And just for fun, Gene is also a minority investor in the Milwaukee Bucks.
