No, the Amazon is NOT the "lungs of the Earth" (and other mythbusting)

Dr. Patrick Michaels joins The Vicki McKenna Show to dispel myths about the Amazon fires and other climate topics.

In regards to the Amazon, these fires are part of "slash and burn" agriculture, and these fires happen each and every year. Michaels asserts that the burning in the Amazon has declined since 2005 and is near its lowest level in nearly 15 years.

Michaels discusses other topics, such as how a Carbon Tax could create a "revolution" at the ballot box, and helps take down other myths that perpetuate every few months on social media, such as how the show Chernobyl was highly sensational, yet taken far too seriously.
