The Democrats are naked in their pursuit of power

The walls are closing-in on Democrats in 2020. The party that has shrunk itself to a handful of big cities, coastal elite enclaves, and college campuses is realizing that it cannot win in the rest of the country.

And Democrats cannot stand that.

The party is not worried that it cannot advance its policy agenda, there is no policy. There is only power. In other words, power is the agenda.

Democrats, liberals, progressives all want the power to tell you how to live your life. What to eat, what to drive, what job to have, what job not to have, what your church must endorse, what gender your child will be. They decide. Not you.

Their grip on power is being undone by an awakening public, and of course the Constitution.

Both, the Democrats say, must be destroyed.

Don Lemon said so on CNN the other night.

He said in order to save this country from Donald Trump, from another conservative Supreme Court justice, and to ensure the right people are in power we need to “blow up the entire system.”

“We’re going to have to blow up the entire system,” Lemon said. ““You know what we’re going to have to do?… You’re going to have to get rid of the electoral college,” Lemon continued. “Because the minority in this country get to decide who our judges are and who our president is. Is that fair?”

Fair? The system is fair when it applies to everyone. The Constitution applies to everyone. Just because the Democrats cannot win in the middle of the country does not make our system of government unfair.

Losing isn’t fun, but as long as the rules are set in advance, everything is fair.

Now, Fredo Cuomo explained this to Don Lemon. But the ‘just the facts news anchor’ on ‘America’s most trusted news source’ said that doesn’t matter.

“If Joe Biden wins, Democrats can stack the courts and they can do that amendment and get it passed,” Lemon said.

That should make it clear. Democrats, the Left, progressives do not care about policy or precedent. They do not care about governing or running the country. They only care about power.

John Feehery makes that point in an op-ed at The Hill.

“Over the last several months, the Democrats have done and said things that demonstrate that they have little use for the Electoral College, the Supreme Court’s current configuration, the rules of the Senate that were designed to make it more difficult to pass far-reaching legislation without the consent of the substantial majority of the American people, the current map of the United States, or law and order.

The Democrats have demonstrated that they don’t trust the American people and they have grown tired of our republic as it currently stands. They can’t be trusted with power.”

They want the power. But they have shown they cannot be trusted with it.
