My friends- per usual, the mainstream media and the left’s global accomplices in the media are downplaying and ‘all but’ ignoring the significant middle east peace deal that president trump has put on the table.

This is a trump-brokered deal to end the Israeli/Hamas war-and yes, Hamas’ leaders are likely going to find reasons-not- to accept it, but neither the nature of the deal, or how brilliantly it puts Hamas leaders in a box, are being fully explained or appreciated, here.

First of all-trump offered this deal after meeting with numerous other middle eastern countries and getting their ‘sign off’ on it. That is just one way in which ‘this deal’ is different.

His plan -before it was even presented to Hamas- is supported by Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey, and even the Palestinian authority.

That is nine Muslim countries and entities who support this plan to both end the current war and re-imagine and rebuild Gaza in the wake of it. That’s big.

The other thing president trump is doing is making it clear that this is a ‘no-win’ situation for Hamas if they refuse to take the deal.

This deal was offered as trump stood right next to Bebe Netanyahu and said, if Hamas does not take this very good deal to end the war, then you, as the leader of Israel, have my blessing to do whatever you need to do in order to end this war.

As trump put it yesterday-Hamas leaders have about three or four days to consider this agreement, and if they don’t agree to come on board, it’s going to be a very sad end to them.

But first- let’s appreciate that this deal has some real teeth behind it-as well as 8 other Arab Muslim nations behind it...

Second- let’s appreciate who Trump has set up a ‘take it or die’ sort of offer for Hamas. There is no third alternative.

And then third- let’s appreciate how the deal, itself, boxes Hamas’s political and military leaders into a corner in which they will never control Gaza, again. Period.

We can get into all the demands and levers that trump’s team has put into this 20-point plan to box Hamas into a corner-

But the main demands are to release all the hostages, living and dead, and surrender your governmental and military roles in Gaza and acknowledge you will not control it again. Period.

Those are conditions number one and two- and those are probably enough to have Hamas refuse to take the deal.

In exchange for their agreement, Hamas would get back prisoners Israel is holding-and nearly two thousand of them-

But that’s about all they would get.

The trade for humans is extremely lopsided, but the Israelis are willing to agree to it to have this war ended and allow the rebuilding phase to begin.

In exchange for the 54-or-so hostages that Hamas still holds

President Trump told reporters that Hamas’ top leadership has been killed and replaced ‘three times over’ now, as other jihadists keep slipping into Gaza to join the fight against Israel...but...since this terrorist organizations long-time leaders are gone, maybe today’s leaders would be more willing to agree to this deal. But I doubt it.

Either way- president trump has offered both sides a way to end this war. Israel readily agreed and the plan has the backing of 8 Muslim countries in the region-

And so- understand what trump did-even if- Hamas leaders reject this deal: Trump just bought Netanyahu and Israel a lot more time to root out Hamas and end the trouble in Gaza.

Trump said, if Hamas says no, then Israel has the full backing of the US to finish the job.And hey, if neither the US nor the Arab states or Palestinian authority can manage to disarm Hamas, well, there’s not anything more to talk about, is there?

This agreement also says the reconstruction if Gaza would start immediately if Hamas leaders agreed to this deal-and that’s something that every Palestinian who remains in Gaza would love to have happen.

Right now, that tiny state has been bombed and re-bombed so much that the Israeli military has basically been turning the rubble into ‘smaller rubble’ for months now.

There’s barely a building that’s still standing. It’s mounds of concrete and rubble being bombed into dust. That’s the situation now in Gaza.

It can’t get much worse, and still, Hamas’ ‘ever changing leadership’ refuses to relent.

That’s why it is important for this deal to offer Hamas-no carrots-

No rewards-

And no reason- to continue to choose war.  The terms of this deal don’t reward Hamas with anything other than about 2-thousand members released from jail....and they can leave Gaza with their own lives. That’s what Hamas ‘gets’ out of this.

There is no future promise if UN recognition. Nothing that legitimizes Hamas as either an organization or a government-in any way. It’s surrender now or die soon.

Those are the options.

And if any of those Hamas members care-at all-

If they care-even one whit-about the women and children and family members they have been hiding behind for more than two years of war- well, then you know they will be safe and able to resume their lives, as well.

The left-wing news media-should not- be ignoring this agreement simply because Hamas isn’t likely to say yes to it.

It’s a brilliant way for president trump to try to end this war-give Hamas’s remaining members a way to ‘squirt out’ of Gaza and save their miserable lives- but also ensure that they will never oversee ‘anything’ or any part of Gaza-ever again.

Moreover, Hamas leaders must feel genuinely abandoned, now- if Iran stopped coming to their aid long ago, and now their long-time allies and protectors in Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, etc.- say it’s time for them to give it up. You’ll get no backing from the regional Arab and Muslim communities anymore.

That’s big.

and as of yesterday, at least, Hamas was not a ‘no’. Several of their top leaders were being characterized as panning it...or saying it favors Israel-

But they weren’t saying ‘no’.  And so, we will see where this goes.

Either way, Trump’s offered deal is a significant step toward ending this war...and potentially toward a more stable peace in that region.

I say ‘potentially’. It’s still a long shot.

But could this deal end the war and lead to a rebuilt and less ‘terroristy’ Gaza strip?

Yes. It could.

None of the details matter if Hamas doesn’t agree to release all of the prisoners-living and dead- and disarm and agree to give up power over Gaza’s rubble.
