The latest poll that I’ve seen out of New York had Andrew Cuomo moving ahead of Zohran Mamdani in this race for New York mayor.... but there’s no way of knowing if that’s genuine...given how little polling is being done-and by whom.
But that poll had all sorts of New York voters-and New York democrats-hoping that the tide was finally turning on Mamdani the pretender and his socialist b.s.
And in this instance, unlike Bill DeBlasio, Mamdani isn’t denying he’s a socialist. He’s an avowed socialist and a candidate from an official, well-formed, long-standing socialist party.
And so- calling Zohran Mamdani a socialist is not some ‘conservative smear’. He’s a genuine and avowed socialist-who is pushing socialist fixes for New York-and anyone who denies that is an ignorant fool.
But-
This combination of Mamdani revealing himself as an unserious, spoiled rich kid pretender.... along with the litany of failed socialist and communist ideas that he’s spouting.... has a larger number of New York democrats hoping he won’t win-
And it has a huge number of national democrats worried that this tool is going to become the face of the party and the cause celeb’ for 2026’s elections if he manages to win.
And they are right to be worried.
Meanwhile- the republicans in New York are quietly pleased, because they know they won’t have to exaggerate his positions ...or work too hard... To link them to nearly all other democrat candidates in 2026.
After all, this is their party’.
Folks, the democrat leaders can’t keep insisting they aren’t a socialist party when their hottest ‘thought leaders’ and their biggest draws out on the campaign trail are Bernie Sanders, AOC, and Zohran Mamdani.
The republicans know that Mamdani is so dangerously extreme that they won’t even have to exaggerate his positions. They’ll be able to portray him as the face of today’s democrat party-with his dangerous and anti-American values.
After all- all of those so-called moderate candidates within the democrat party all go off to Washington DC or to their state capitols...and vote in absolute lock step with their party’s socialist agenda.
So- let’s cut the ‘moderate’ democrats crappola. There’s basically no such thing as a moderate democrat, when it comes to being the member of a legislative body-either in the states-or in Washington DC.
There are a few more moderate and centrist democrat governors in the states, but only a few, and they’ve had to prove it.
But every single democrat. Whoever is elected to a state legislative or congressional office is going to vote in lockstep with their party’s leaders.
And those leaders? -in the blue states and in DC?
Are all, increasingly, socialist-minded.
So, electing a ‘so-called’ moderate democrat now is as good as electing another socialist to go off and vote that way in your state or u-s capitol. Let’s not kid ourselves.
If Bernie and AOC and their screaming socialists control the democrat’s national agenda...and if Gavin Newsom and Kathy Hocul control the blue-state agendas- today’s democrat party is nothing more than a slightly couched...or hidden. Group of socialists. Period.
And if New York voters ‘give up the game’ and elect Zohran Mamdani as the mayor of New York- proud socialist spouting all sorts of communistic ideas-the real platform for todays’ democrat party will no longer be hidden to the voters.
Will it?
Just about every democrat over the age of 40 knows how stupid and backward and destructive and dangerous socialism is. And yet, they’re too cowardly to say it out loud in front of their own party members and voters.
It’s a dangerously dumb and weak and pathetic group of people who only want to keep their jobs-or win a govt office
Both Gillen and Suozzi...if they keep their seats and head back to Washington next year...will vote for- or sign onto-every piece of socialist legislation that is put in front of them by party leaders.
They’re also worried about being primaried by other young socialists...and having to spend time and money and effort to beat them in a primary...before they even get to a general election against a republican candidate in a swing district.
I get that. But again, if the voters of your swing district reject socialism-it shouldn’t be difficult for these democrat lawmakers to -also- reject socialism. Have a backbone.
Folks...Zohran Mamdani is either a dangerous, anti-American scumbag who has no business being in elected office...or...he’s a dangerously dumb pretender who is spewing vile and ridiculous things.... who has no business being in elected office. Take your pick.
A new yorker who founded the Chinese American citizen’s alliance of greater New York....and who is a fellow at the Manhattan institute...named
All these critics are correct: if Mamdani wins...and with Bernie and AOC’s silly ‘oligarchs’ tour drawing large crowds around the country- the cowardly leaders of this party are going to be under heavy, heavy pressure to buckle under and turn over the democrat tent-completely-to these socialists and communists.
And we already know that Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jefferies aren’t strong enough or smart enough to fight it.
And the party seems to have no clear leader.
So, who will?
