This won’t surprise anyone-but it is ‘historic’:
The democrat party leaders have hit a new low- with its own voters.
This is based on a Gallop survey that stretches back decades....and finds that only 73 percent of democrats are currently giving their party positive marks.
Oh- and that represents a fourteen-percentage point drop- just since November.
This is proof that the party’s inability to pivot or ‘bounce back’ from the November losses is causing more democrats to express their displeasure.
Gallop doesn’t get into this-but here’s the fun kicker. Here’s the thing: as bad
As these numbers look- they could easily mean that ‘some democrats’ are hating their own party for refusing to moderate and get onto the right, ‘pro-America’ side of the 80/20 issues, again....and some other set of democrats...are hating their own party because it isn’t going ‘full on socialist’.
Get it?
This isn’t just, ’27 percent of democrats hate their own party right now’.... its most likely ‘15 percent of centrist democrats don’t like the party....and 13 percent of socialists don’t like the party....and so...geez. How are DNC leaders ever going to win both sets of disgruntled democrats back?
Understand?
I think you do as bad as this gallop poll is for democrats-I’d suggest it’s worse. Because they don’t’ get into the reasons that ‘that group of democrats’ is disgruntled. Some will say it’s because the party is too socialist. Others will say it’s because the party isn’t socialist enough.
Fantastic.
There’s no easy way to ‘heal this divide’ and get that 27 percent of voters back for today’s dems There simply isn’t.
At some point, the leaders of today’s democrat party are going to have to decide whether they are still a ‘liberal, pro-America’ party...or whether they are a ‘socialist, anti-America’ party. And I’m not kidding.
This party is at a crossroads right now-and one that could prove historic: all of the old-school, 20th century democrats who have controlled this party for generations are dying off now. That’d be bad enough for the party-
But we’ve talked about how-aside from a few people-the democrats in dc don’t really have any ‘older middle aged’ people who would normally be the group that is ‘next up’ to run the party. They don’t have 50-somethings with some maturity and experience.
This means the dem party is going to be at the mercy of a so-called ‘youth movement’ that is going to include a lot of screaming, America-hating, Marxist indoctrinated socialists.
Is that what the 21st century democrat party is going to become? A socialist party?
In America?
So....the oldest political party in the western hemisphere is going to ‘turn socialist’? In a western democracy?
Is this really where this goes?
Or do most democrat voters ‘not want that’ and will reject it?
This is what looms, my friends. This decision.
It’s why many long-time democrats and traditional liberals are relentlessly suggesting that this party -must- moderate. They must return to a common sense and pro-America agenda.
I don’t agree with some of the actual policy suggestions...but the overall strategy and basic ‘tone’ that democrats should take on all four of these issues is dead on.
The problem is- today’s democrats won’t do it. Half of them -the young, angry socialist half-has no interest in this agenda...
And the other half- the aging liberal half- doesn’t have the discipline to stick to the script.
What i mean by that is-you might ‘start’ with Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jefferies and the democrats insisting that they’re okay with trump’s border control...and want to work together on visa reform.... etc.
But that’s quickly going to devolve into ‘only forcing citizenship for illegals.
That’s all they are really going to care about or talk about, because they are undisciplined hacks when it comes right down to it.
Any claim that ‘we can be reasonable on illegal immigration’...is quickly going to end with. Amnesty. Amnesty. Amnesty! As the only focus.
And attempt to focus on working class voters is going to -begin! - and end- with ‘tax the rich, tax the rich, tax the rich. Bloat the welfare programs. Bloat the welfare programs. Tax the rich.
How do I know that? Because- to a person-today’s democrats think that ‘appealing to the working class’...means talking about ‘taxing the rich’ and bloating govt programs.
All Bernie sanders and AOC and Tammy Baldwin and Mark Pocan and Gwen Moore have been selling for the last 25 years.
The democrats-have no economic plan- that doesn’t involve heaping more taxes on the American people as they have us pay more or welfare programs and more of the bills for the slackers and takers.
I could go line by line: an ‘all of the above energy policy that includes fossil fuels because it’s simply a nod to reality’.
Nope. Not from this crowd of dopey democrats.
They are indoctrinated-against-fossil fuels, and they will not relent.
Do you know that the state of new jersey’s electric bills has tripled this summer?
Just since summer started- the New Jersey people are paying triple the cost- for electricity.
The culprit? The democrat governor’s wonderful green energy fixes. Those dopey voters are paying about thousand dollars a month for electricity this summer.... on an average home.
This is leftist government. This is ‘smart and necessary’ according to today’s democrat party leaders and activists.
