I love this story- and you probably won’t hear it anywhere else- so I’ll lead the segment with it to be sure to get it in:
It turns out that the trump administration has quietly doubled back and convinced a salvage company to return the unused materials that we taxpayers bought to build the border wall in term one....only to have Biden’s regime sell it off for pennies on the dollar...to get rid of it....so that the next republican president couldn’t use it to easily resume building the wall.
Tell me this isn’t a ‘baller move’.
Tell me this isn’t a ‘killer play’.
Because I will tell you-as a guy who has watched politics at all levels for about 40 years- I have never seen this sort of logical, responsible, and thoughtful move out of a government organization before.
In government-if one administration wastes taxpayer money and sells off materials that really should have been kept and put to use- well? -
The next administration that wants to use them just goes out and purchases them a second time. Let’s just waste more money and pay double for the project because taxpayer money is ‘fun money’.
This move, too, speaks to both the ‘content of character’ that president trump and his appointees have.... but also, to the ‘real world common sense and respect for the taxpayers’ that Trump and his people have.
In 2021- upon taking office- Joe Biden ordered all construction on trump’s border wall to be stopped. Right?
You all remember that. And that left a lot of steel panels sitting in the desert, rusting, on piles...because Biden refused to use the funding congress had approved for the wall- to build the wall. He decided to waste it and redirect it in other ways.
And so, mid-presidency, Biden’s team sold off that remaining wall material- literally for pennies. They got no money for it-
But also, wouldn’t sell it to the state of Texas- whose leaders decided to build their own walls on state and private lands.... if the federal government wouldn’t, remember?
I mean-
Part of this story needs to include the fact that Biden and the dems -also wouldn’t sell this wall for a decent price to the state of Texas- so Texas could put it up.
Nope. Not one more bleeping foot of Trump’s bleeping wall was going to be built.
So how great is it that Trump ordered someone at DHS to ‘double back’. Find the wall. Find the company it was sold to and get it back.
Fantastic.
That’s just a great move.
And I assume that the trump govt is going to have to pay this salvage place -at least the same pennies on the dollar that they bought the material for...
But...it’s just been sitting around. The company hasn’t sold it to any ‘takers. It would cost them money to salvage it...or melt it...etc.
And so- why not just sell it back to the federal government for a little bit of profit....and so it can be used for its original purpose?
I love that story.
I also love to see the democrats continuing to get pounded all weekend over the gerrymandering issue.
Boy. Even on the friendly cable stations, Pritzker and Squats and Newsom and Hocul were getting pounded with questions about what hypocrites’ democrats are...and how they’ve done the exact same thing that Texas wants to do...or worse.
This was -not- a great weekend for tubby Pritzker or Kathy Hocul-who were likely certain that they were sitting down for friendly interviews.
And, of course, none of their excuses or explanations on how ‘if republicans gerrymander it’s cheating and racist...but if we democrats do it...it’s out of fairness’... Stuck.
Not a single excuse came off sounding reasonable.
The guy who-did-sound reasonable was Vice President JD Vance...who sat down for an extended interview with Maria Bartiromo and walked the Fox audience thru ‘just how we, the people, are getting screwed by the democrat’s cheating over the last 40 years.
VICE PRESIDENT J.D. VANCE: We spoke with the governor, with the speaker of the House there in Indiana and the Senate president, and the message I delivered is pretty straightforward.
We want a unified Republican team. We want to fight together, win together, make big things happen for the American people, and obviously the people of the state of Indiana together.
But one of the things that you see in a lot of red states is, blue states have really aggressively gerrymandered such that they have actually made it harder for the majority of the state of Indiana to have their voice heard in their federal elections, because if California has crazy gerrymanders, Illinois has crazy gerrymanders, New York has crazy gerrymanders, what it does is, it actually suppresses the will of the people in states like Indiana.
And the other thing that we talked about -- and I didn't even realize this, Maria, until a couple of years ago, that, you know, for apportioning representatives, you actually count illegal aliens. So, even though illegal aliens theoretically are not supposed to vote -- we know sometimes they do -- you still count illegal aliens for congressional apportionment.
So California has way more House seats than it should because they have such a high population of illegal aliens. So they get rewarded for welcoming illegal aliens into their state, giving them federal benefits, actually asking the taxpayers of states like Ohio to subsidize them.
And then those same taxpayers in Ohio and Indiana and elsewhere, they have fewer congressional representatives because of what California has allowed to happen. That's ridiculously unfair. And the only real way to fight back against it is for us to redistrict in some ways as aggressively as these hard blue states have done.
MARIA BARTIROMO: Well, that's an important point. And that is why President Trump said that he wants more work or new work on a new census. How does that change the GOP makeup and the electoral votes?
VANCE: Yes, so another crazy thing that I had no idea about, but everybody, even Democrats actually admit this, that the census in 2020 had a major statistical error.
And what that meant is that you actually undercounted a few states that are Republican like Florida and Ohio. You overcounted some blue states. And so what I understand, if you actually did the census anew right now, you would have 10 additional Republican seats and nine fewer Democrat seats.
And really what we're living with, Maria, is the consequence of 40 years of institutional control in the Democratic Party. These guys have fought very dirty for a very long time. And they haven't just won elections and enacted laws that we may not agree with. They have tried to rig the game for Democrats and against Republicans.
And, thankfully, under President Trump's leadership, you finally see some spine. You finally see some backbone in the Republican Party to fight back against these very aggressive Democratic dirty tricks. But the only way for us to do it is to actually go and do the hard work to reset the scales a little bit.
What we want to do is redo the census, but, importantly, we want to redistrict some of these red states. And we want to make the congressional apportionment fair in this country. Again, you cannot do it unless Republicans actually take some very decisive action in the months to come.
We think they will, and we're obviously supporting them every step of the way.
BARTIROMO: But do you worry that, as Republicans do that, the Democrat blue states are going to do the same thing, and then you will have redistricting in California, New Jersey, and so on?
VANCE: You know, Maria, there's just not a whole lot of juice left out of that lemon. The Democrats have already gone as far as they possibly can.
Let me give you a crazy statistic. So I believe that it's in New Jersey, Illinois, New York, California, and there's one other Democrat state where you take those five states. You have a large number of Democrat representatives, but here's the crazy statistic. President Trump won 43 percent of those five states, and Democrats have something like 85 percent of the representatives out of those states.
You cannot gerrymander these far left states anymore, and that's the whole point. We have unilaterally disarmed in the Republican Party. We have said to the Democrats, if you want to rig the game in your favor in blue states, go ahead. We're going to do nothing to fight back against it. That's crazy.
It makes it harder for us to pass our agenda. It makes it harder for us to win elections. And, most importantly, it gives Democrats this ability to run roughshod over the country without any pushback from the American people. The democratic system in this country is broken, because who you vote for doesn't necessarily get reflected in who your representatives are.
We're just trying to rebalance the scales and, frankly, push back against a very unfair system created by the Democrats.
That is correct. And it is part of the story that some of us have been trying to tell on conservative talk radio: that every illegal counted in the census adds to the overall population totals that are -then used- to dole out both seats in congress...and votes in the electoral college-
And so, you can see how the current situation greatly benefits democrats: the estimate is-if we weren’t counting the illegals who Biden and Obama’s regimes have flooded in here and causes to settle in mostly the blue states and ‘Texas’ -which they hope to flip blue-
Well- then today’s democrats would have at least 10 to 15 fewer congressional seats. And that’s just the difference that the never-ending caravans since the Obama years has made.
If you go back further and include the total number of illegals who are tainting representation in the blue states-it’s more like 30 or 40 congressional seats and electoral college votes that the dems shouldn’t have.
That’s a major advantage when the two sides are trying to get 270 electoral college votes on election night.
Sadly, i don’t think that the supreme court is going to allow for a new ‘mid-decade’ census to fix some of this- much less- agree that the census shouldn’t count illegals when it comes to ‘representation’...
But I’m glad they are pushing the issue: if nothing else, it exposes more of this long-time democrat cheating to the masses. If nothing else, it helps further inform the voters.
It also adds to the overall sense that today’s democrats are lying lunatics who can’t be trusted on just about ‘any’ issue, anymore.
Listen to the pollster for insider advantage, matt towery, who turned up on a fox weekend show....and see if this doesn’t ‘sound right’ to you.
Towery: Whether It's Gerrymandering Or Trans Athletes, Dems Take It To The Nth Degree And Become A Parody
Today’s democrat party is an increasingly desperate and unhinged joke...and that’s the percentage that we need most US voters believing before next fall...and right into 2028.
