Jay Weber Show transcript 8-5-25

Every ‘highly paid’ personality on either a news show or a cable show is on edge these days wondering if they are going to be fired or made to take a pay cut.

Over at ABC- they’ve put the cackling hens of the view on hiatus.  Let’s hope they never come back...but I assume they will at some point. In some versions.

I’d be great if Whoopie and Joy Behar were gone, and they at least had a different group of hens in the henhouse. ABC could pay them less, too.

Over at MSNBC-apparently either Joe or Mika have gone seventy percent of the time this summer. Meaning-they have only hosted ‘together’ about 3o percent of the time, even though they are allegedly the ‘big draws’ for that station.

Their morning show still does sucky numbers for the network...but it’s become such a staple for east coast insiders that I’d be shocked if it was canceled.

Still- industry insiders are starting to wonder if something’s up...or if Joe and Mika are ‘tempting fate’ by appearing to show so little interest in doing their jobs.

One of them is absent nearly every day, and the audience is getting sick of seeing all the fill-ins, apparently.

Meanwhile, at CBS- Oprah’s friend could be unemployed, soon.

Gayle King maybe will get the same deal that Stephen Colbert got- to save face: you’re just done next may-

Or maybe they’ll flush her from the system, early. But either way, i envision her walking up Oprah’s driveway in Hawaii with a ‘day bag’ on her shoulder...as ‘o’ gets her ‘daytime drinking buddy’ back.

She’ll be fine.

You know who else will be fine?

The gal who has been running the corporation for public broadcasting.

Have you seen what this elitist lunatic was receiving as a salary?

More than the president of the United States. And yes! This was a government job.

It turns out that Patricia Harrison’s compensation was 524-thousand dollars a year.

For doing what?

Moreover- the agency had dozens of staffers.

Why?

All they’re doing is funneling taxpayer money to NPR and PBS stations. That was the sum of their jobs.

It’s another reason that it’s hard to feel bad for any of these people who are losing their jobs as part of Trump’s federal downsizing.

If that’s not an example of massive and inexcusable government bloat that has only gotten worse over time- I don’t know what is.
