It wasn’t terribly surprising to hear that Jill Biden’s so-called ‘work husband’ plead the fifth rather than answer questions about how he and Jill covered up for President Biden’s cognitive and physical decline.
I’m guessing you’ve seen this by now: his name is Anthony Bernal...and he’s the person who Biden and democrat insiders point to as one of the people who had the absolute ‘most’ influence over joe and Jill Biden. Longtime family friend. Trusted advisor.
His actual title was ‘Jill’s chief of staff’, or something. He wasn’t operating on the presidential side of the White House- or at least ‘shouldn’t have been’. He was on the first lady’s staff.
And yet- everyone on both teams knew he was one of the most powerful people in the White House because he had the ears of both Joe and Jill. On all sorts of matters.
And so, James Comer and the house oversight committee subpoenaed him to testify behind closed doors-related to what he knew about the never-ending ‘dementia cover-up’ they were engaged in.
No surprise: Bernal plead the fifth.
He’s now the second former Biden official who decided that telling the truth would incriminate him for possible criminal charges...so he refused to answer the questions.
Biden’s personal doctor, cost-cutter Elton John’, was the first to plead the fifth. Kevin O’Connor was Biden’s personal physician, yes, but he refused to answer questions -unrelated-to Biden’s actual health- like: were you ever asked to lie about the president’s health by his political team members?
Etc.
Cost-cutter Elton refused to answer. And so, this house committee is only a ‘few people deep’ into their investigation and they’ve already had two of Biden’s close white house staffers refuse to testify because they’d criminally incriminate themselves.
This is one of the biggest presidential scandals in the history of this country. Especially given how ineptly the aids who ‘pretended’ to be Biden ran the country...as the sun downed and shuffled around the white house.
Comer was asked by reporters if the investigation would continue if everyone involved on the Biden side simply pleads the fifth...and he said...there are other options on the table.’...but he didn’t say what they were.
At this point-over a dozen Biden staffers are scheduled to come in to do house depositions. And they’re only through three- with two of them refusing to answer questions.
Here’s an interesting tidbit: angry loudmouth Jasmine Crockett sits on this same house panel....and has refused to talk to reporters after these depositions.
Imagine: mouthy, comment-on-everything, she’s got an opinion on everything, nasty attitude’ jasmine Crockett...is deciding to ‘play kitten’ as she slips out of the hearing room on days like this.
Ironically- it might be Jasmine Crockett who is speaking the loudest here, by remaining silent: she’s sitting in there- knowing these Biden slim bags are guilty of a coverup- and has no interest in being forced to defend them to the media.
Her silence speaks in volumes. Doesn’t it?
This is yet another ‘quiet drama’ that’s playing out in Washington dc that has me believing that democrats are-genuinely-in more trouble with the makeup of their own party-and with the voters-than they think they are.
