Harvard, whose leaders and lawyers have been negotiating with the Trump administration to avoid sanctions over their institutional racism and campus-wide support of anti-Semitism.
The negotiations obviously aren’t going so well-because yesterday- the trump team had to turn up the pressure a notch-and formally find Harvard university in violation of civil rights law...and quote. A willing participant’...in the anti-Semitic harassment that the federal investigation found-and cataloged- on campus.
Let’s consider why Harvard is suing the administration: because they’ve been ordered to end their institutionalized efforts to ‘re-teach racism’...which the left euphemizes under the ‘DEI’ logo...
And- because they’ve been ordered to allow more conservative speakers and people with other opinions onto their campus and into their faculty.
Harvard leaders are digging in and saying no: by God, we are not going to stop fomenting racism and indoctrinating our students into generational hatreds and the leftist dogma.
No.
Wow.
Now i -really do hope-that trump and his team crush Harvard. Take this to the limit.
It took about half a day before Harvard leaders responded to this latest move by the Trump administration...and i wasn’t surprised.
And then- when they did- it was a short missive full of weak denials.
But...how can they credibly respond to this?
They can’t even claim trump and his team are wrong about this-because a preliminary Harvard investigation released in spring found much the same thing.
I also don’t know how any credible democrat or leftist could respond to this without lying or spinning-given that we are talking about obvious and demonstrated ‘racism’ here. Some of it caught on video during the protests -on campus-over the last two springs.
Imagine how mortifying this news would be in any other age: most Jews on a college campus say they have been targeted by anti-Semites, and one in four has feared for their safety.
Now, come on. Should we put up with this on a US college campus? In the 21st century?
Not a chance.
The Trump administration is right.
Harvard is a private institution, and as the white house admitted yesterday, Harvard can continue to operate on its own-without federal dollars, but taxpayers don’t need to be subsidizing this- or funding it.
It was just last week that President Trump was suggesting they might have a settlement with Harvard over the next ten days.
Those negotiations must have fallen apart, because this move amounts to dropping a Moab onto Harvard leaders.
