I love to hear this, Real Clear Politics says the Trump administration is poised to challenge the long-standing practice of counting illegal aliens in the US Census.
Ugh! I love this president and his team!
Trump tried this in the first term-but Biden got into office and reversed the decision before it could really take effect or be challenged legally.
I think most listeners to this radio station understand what a ‘game changer’ it would be if we stopped counting illegals in the formula, we use to apportion out congressional seats in congress.
Just the other day, i was talking about how the 10- to 15 million new illegals that Joe Biden and the dems allowed to flood into this country over four years- amount to about 15 additional congressional seats for the states in which they settled. Most of those would be blue states, of course.
For example: if California is losing ‘legal’ Americans in droves: people moving out to cheaper and better-run states-
Well- backfilling those losses with hundreds of thousands of new illegals-in orders to keep their congressional seats-is the ‘actual’ strategy here.
Understand?
And so-even before illegal aliens are given the right to vote- or legal status (if they ever are)- this mass flood of them -by the left- is already helping them to cheat the system and aiding their attempt to take over control of this country -permanently.
But- if the illegals suddenly- weren’t- counted as part of the congressional census- and to determine how much federal aid a state gets- well-I’ve said it before: watch how fast the pro-illegal positions of the democrat party would change.
Moreover, the practice of counting illegals in these formulas has always been controversial and constitutionally dubious.
This was the john Roberts court-again- ‘blowing it’. And blame John Roberts, almost entirely, on that. He and his narrow rulings’.
It was one of those instances that I reference, occasionally: the entire point and purpose of the supreme court is to answer the ‘big questions’ and provide the rest of us with guidance and certainty on the biggest constitutional and legal issues of the day-
And for some reason- dopey John Roberts thinks ‘his court’ should issue only narrow rulings that -avoid- ever answering the big questions or bringing these arguments to a resolution.
That’s’ changed rather significantly since amy Coney Barrett joined the court and Roberts is no longer ‘the’ deciding vote. The fifth vote of nine that tips the ruling...
But...it’s not like Roberts still isn’t always pushing the rest of them to issue narrow rulings.
Even yesterdays on whether the states can kill off Medicaid funding to planned parenthood was narrower than it needed to be- or should have been.
But given that ‘all warm bodies’ have always been included in the census -since its inception- this isn’t a case that I’d predict we on the right ‘easily win’.
This is another instance in which you’d ask John Roberts and the supreme court members: why do you not want to have this legal showdown?
Man. This is good stuff.
These Supremes should want to take on the most interesting questions. The most challenging cases.
This is like a top golfer-wanting- to play pebble beach...instead of staying on the county course...or a doctor...wanting to do that challenging surgery- to test his or her skills.
Well, given that the next major census is 2030- Trump’s people should ‘get right on this’ so there’s plenty of time for the court cases to play out-and have the supreme court decide.
The democrats would be-devastated-if this form of cheating the numbers-that they’ve so heavily invested in since Teddy Kennedy first ‘schemed it’ in the 1970s or 80s....was taken away from them.
I love to see the army on the march, here. I can’t think of a better time to force this issue, either, or get a precedent-setting supreme court ruling on this-
And on birthright citizenship. Whether our side wins them or not. Clarifications from a high court whose members closely honor the original intent of the constitution and the founders-is long, long overdue.
